We start in a familiar place, in contemporary Chicago, where Jennifer, a museum curator, is asked to go to Belarus to create a living installation of Jewish life there before the Holocaust. The Sydney Taylor Book Award Committee (STBA) is looking for applicants to serve a two year term  beginning in January 2024 and ending with the Association of Jewish Libraries (AJL) annual conference in June 2026. Committee members are expected to: Read 120+ picture book, middle grade, and young adult books throughout the calendar year, score them, and include notes.
