I’ve been making regular use of the Vango Zenith 100 over the past couple of years. It’s a good solo tent, easy to pitch, quite light and robust. However it definitely has that “cloth coffin” vibe that you get with many solo tents. When Vango sent the Cairngorm 200 to review, it looked like a good fit for something with a little more space. My nephew Adam has always wanted to join us for a little hiking and camping, so when he and I both found ourselves free for five days with decent weather forecast, we decided to give a shot at a leisurely trip around the Mournes.
