A complaint against six Beak Brewery products has been upheld by the alcohol industry’s Independent Complaints Panel (ICP). The complaint, from a member of the public, expressed concern that the bright, cartoon branding on Beak Brewery products may have particular appeal to under-18s, under Code rule 3.2(h). A North East brewery is leading a nationwide campaign to help raise money and awareness on men’s mental health. McColl’s Brewery, based in Bishop Auckland, has launched the Mayday project – a national collaboration with six other breweries and 25 venues across the UK – to reduce the stigma surrounding men’s mental health, get people talking, and raise as much money as possible for three great causes.
