I have to say that travelling from the UK to Kharagpur is not the easiest of journeys, in fact it took me more than 25 hours door to door BUT it was SO worth it! This international workshop was organised by the Institute’s Rekhi Centre of Excellence for the Science of happiness. The Rekhi Centre was founded by alumnus Satinder Singh Rekhi who is experienced in assisting governments, corporates and the paramilitary forces to improve mental health and wellbeing. What a wonderful experience it was to attend the World Happiness Summit (WOHASU) 2019, again this year. I am most fortunate that I have attended each of the three WOHASU events since the inaugural one in 2017 and in addition to the honour of being UKs WOHASU Ambassador, this year I also presented an 50 minute session on ‘Positive Aging’, a subject very close to my heart. It was a great honour to once again accept an invitation from Her Excellency, Ohood Al Roumi, the UAE Minister of State for Happiness and Wellbeing, to attend the World Government Summit in Dubai, 10th – 12th February 2019.
