Dear Members,
It is a great honour to have been elected President of our club at the AGM last night and I would like to thank you all for the opportunity afforded me.
I would specially like us to thank Steve (Roo) Rooney for his incredible service to the club over the past year of his presidency and indeed the 30+years since he joined Lansdowne, Roo’s love of the club has been second to none and equaled by few. We wish him the very best in his future Lansdowne life. Hopefully Maura and the kids will be happy to see a little bit more of him in the coming year.
I see my job as being ..read more

It has been a huge honour for me to be president of Lansdowne FC over the last year. We have a great club with great people and the season gone by bears testament to that.
As you are all aware there has been a huge amount going on this season both on an off the pitch. Off the pitch with our purchase of Claremont Road this has been a season like no other. It is so amazing to have secured this fantastic sporting hub. As well as rugby Claremont has played host to many other sports and activities such as hockey, soccer , softball and we now have a public gym (District One) operating out of the clu ..read more

Energia AIL Division 1 A
Semi Final Play Off
Saturday 20th April 2024
Lakelands, Terenure
Terenure RFC 31 – 28 Lansdowne FC
I know we’re all in pain right now, but when the worst of the disappointment passes (experts vary, but another 10 days should see us right), we can look back on the 2023/2024 season with immense pride. Playing a refreshing brand of open and entertaining rugby, we clocked up a staggering 524 points from play, second only to Clontarf, harnessing our mobility and flair to compete with frequently much bigger sides. But it wasn’t all flash. We showed steely ..read more

Albert O’Connell Cup (Metro J2) Semi Final
Coolmine RFC v Lansdowne FC
Monday 15 April 2024
Coolmine RFC
Coolmine 28 – 8 Lansdowne
No excuses or complaints, Coolmine were deserving winners and will hopefully go on to lift the Albert O’Connell after their final against De La Salle Palmerstown next week. But if they were giving out medals for courage and determination against the odds, captain Will McEvoy and vice-captain Aaron Daly’s entire squad (including those present and those unavailable on the night), would all be worthy recipients. Noble in victory the whol ..read more
