Can you believe it's been ten years of this tradition? I mean, I'm not even really blogging anymore (as obvious by the fact that my last post was last year's shoot). But these photos and this tradition is not something I ever plan on giving up. If not for just a year-end update for you guys?
It's been a wonderful but stressful year.

The Palace Hotel (where we have been shooting our holiday photos since 2014) has not made it easy these past few years! In 2020 we had to sneak in, in 2021, they didn't put up a tree, and now, in 2022, they had scaffolding and a smaller tree up! Here's to hoping next year goes off without a hitch...
The one big positive is that it was pouring rain, and the scaffolding shielded us from getting drenched. So if the photos are a little dark and moody, you know why! But we got it don ..read more

Happy (almost) December! As the holiday season is quickly approaching (where did 2022 go???) I wanted to share some affordable holiday looks with you guys.
Thanks to Walmart for sponsoring today's post!
Red Sweater / Black Sweater / Jeans
I'm all for affordable holiday looks these days because 99% of the time, I'm going to be chasing a baby around on the floor or getting spit up on. But I wouldn't have it any other way! So this year I'm opting for more of a dressed-up casual look -- one that can move with me without getting in the way or showing spills/dirt easily.
I adore this ..read more

I wanted to get this quick blog post together (hi, yes, still blogging... kind of) because I had a few questions about why we decided to get rid of our Vista stroller and what we are using instead.
When I was pregnant, I decided to register for the UPPAbaby Vista as our everyday stroller. Mainly because all my friends had it and everyone I knew raved about it. It was originally going to be the gift from my parents but a friend of mind gave me hers and another friend gave me their Mesa car seat (that attaches to the UPPA), so we totally lucked out and were able to save a lot of money thank ..read more

So very excited to share our first professional family photos with you guys! So much of my life is documented through photos, it just seemed right to bring in the whole fam. Hope you love them as much as I do!
Since we were in Nantucket for the week, I thought it would be a fun idea to schedule a little mini shoot with Emily at Sankaty Lighthouse. If you remember, she actually shot some of our engagement photos there in 2019. We also have our wedding photos from the same place so it's actually pretty fun to see the progression of our life as a family through these photos!

I want to start this post by saying a few things before we dive in. First and foremost, mom and baby are doing great. We are happy, healthy, and enjoying our new life together.
Soon-to-be-moms are so often hit with the worst stories and 'advice' when it comes to L&D. How horrible/terrible/painful it is, how your body will never be the same, how this is the worst part of pregnancy... etc etc. Even with my complications, I felt like it wasn't as bad as everyone made it out to be. And if I could just share that with my past self from a few weeks ago, I would feel a lot better. So ..read more

WHEW! This post turned out to be much longer than I was planning. Now I'm starting to worry that I have *too* much on here. We both have rather large families, so I always think it's best to give people options and maybe err on the side of having too much instead of not enough. If nothing else, this will serve as a good mental wish list of items that will completely cover us for the first year or two.
I'm also hoping this serves as a helpful starting place for things to add to your own registry or brands that have come highly recommended to me throughout this process. I know I've been sco ..read more

One of my FAQs currently is for boy/girl names that we didn't end up using! I've shared my list a time or two, but I don't like to do it often since we're not done having babies. So I asked you guys for names and you SHOWED UP. Over 250 names for each group and some awesome ideas or thought starters here. I even mixed in a few of our names to the list (but neither our top girls nor boys' name is here!) just to add in a few extra options. Hope this helps!

And we thought last year was a doozy... in un-Christmas-like spirit, The Palace Hotel is doing renovations this holiday season and they didn't put up their tree! Which left our little tradition up in the air.

On Andrew: Sweatshirt / Shirt / Pants

I think I've been brainstorming back and forth with Allie since November trying to find a tree anywhere from NYC to Westchester to Fairfield. Just something that would do for the year. And boy, was it a difficult task. Tryi ..read more
