Is it worth keeping my work notes in notebooks for the future?

Hi guys, I like to keep my tasks on digital while I'm working, using gtd, but the problem is that using digital to save notes and everything I learned at work ends up being lost when I'm fired or resign, since I lose access to my corporate email. Is it worth writing down my drafts, meeting notes, and business knowledge in notebooks? for future reference in any similar work... remembering that I will not keep sensitive company data, just my diary. submitted by /u/gintokiredditbr [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

What’s better? 5 hours of sleep but an extra hour of studying, but 6 hours of sleep with 1 less hour of studying?

So I’m wondering if I’ll get more done on 5 hours of sleep with 4 hours of studying for my morning study session, or 6 hours of sleep with 3 hours of studying in the morning. 8 hours of sleep is not an option right now submitted by /u/3sperr [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

How do you be productive after working all day?

I’m decently ambitious. It’s not idleness that keeps me from accomplishing my goals—it’s stress and exhaustion . I want to be able to come home and work on my goals. But I come home from work so utterly exhausted. When I do accomplish my daily efforts towards my goals, I feel miserably tired and spent rather than accomplished. On the weekends, I’m able to truly enjoy developing skills and talents. But on the week days I either need the whole evening to relax and recover, or I burn myself out in self development. Is anyone else feeling anything similar? Any suggestions? submitted by /u/jebedi ..read more

I feel like I'm putting too much pressure on myself while doing nothing.

Everytime that I do something pleasureable for myself (snacks, entertainement etc.) I feel imense dread. A little part of my brain brings me down, telling me that I should be doing something useful for once (learning a skill, or working out). My head can't take a break from this and now I just feel horrible because of it. Best part is that if I do something right then my head just moves onto something else. I truly feel like no matter how much I'll do it'll always not be enough. I'm not even an adult yet. I'm finishing up High School atm but I already feel like everything's over. Like I lost ..read more

Can anyone relate? Life always gets in the way with work and basic chores that can’t wait. I just don’t understand how others are able to sleep 8 hours a day. submitted by /u/uglyandIknowit1234 [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

How to Feel Content When You're Trying to Accomplish Goals?

Hello all. Basically I have always been a big dreamer. I have always wanted to do so much, but for so long I lacked the confidence, organized/grounded mindset and the ability to push myself when anxieties arise. But recently I feel as if I have finally acquired the organizational skills and a kinder mindset to really begin to accomplish my goals in life. For context, my three main goals are to learn how to speak Japanese, to become a successful content creator and to get good at drawing/painting. However, when I sit down and am in the process of accomplishing my goals, I cant help but feel as ..read more

Google Calendar no longer displays recurring events by occurence - Ex. "Ron OOO (2/4), "Ron OOO (3/4)"

I remember a few years back Google Calendar used to display recurring events so you can see how many occurrences are remaining. This was helpful to see teammates at OOO, or when you would look at a shared calendar. I know for a fact that people didn't manually write this text in, and it was auto-generated by Google Calendar when it was a repeated event. I don't know if this is a setting for each Google Workspace or if this change was made universally. It was a really useful setting to me, and I'm wondering if anyone else knows what happened to this setting. submitted by /u/jaywonger93 [visit ..read more

Losing motivation completely

Lately, I have been feeling utterly out of motivation. Some days, I find it hard even to get some food for myself... Some context: I finished my master's last year, for which I got burned out, have been some months after, and I still have not been able to land a job. It looks like an impossible thing to do. The rejections or just no answers to my applications are draining me mentally, and other aspects of my life also look stopped till I can find a job. I try to keep a routine to get things done... I work part-time and go to the gym; I also write applications, learn a new language, or look fo ..read more

I want to enter to college but I don't really have time, I also traveled to germany and I'm trying to learn the language but I'm ..read more
