I was racing in a local handicap race today which is for 48kms. We were moving at a speed of 37.5 kmph for 23.5 kms when I had stop due to an unbearable stitch pain under my right rib cage. This is the second time this has happened to me and on both occasions I was racing very hard (for my standards) with a HR in Zone 4 & 5. In fact in today’s race I touched my highest HR ever. I had the legs for the race today but the pain was too much to bear. As per the title. My shoes are cheap, not very well fitting but still decently ok. When I ride more than around 15-20km, my feet goes numb, and gets increasingly more uncomfortable for every km after that. Is this just a matter of bad shoes for my feet, or is it more likely that it’s the bike that fits wrong? I don’t have any apparent discomfort, apart from the feet. Our beloved Garmin was seized from us at Srinagar airport, in Kashmir. Satellite phones are not allowed in that region, unfortunately, the airport staff does not know the difference between a GPS and a satellite. Long story short, we need a new GPS.
