I was swinging really well with my 4 wood so ditched the driver early to have a better chance at playing from the fairway. I think if I can work on putting and stay as consistent as I felt today, I can knock 6-8 strokes off my game by the end of the season. (I’m in NE so I can realistically golf until late October before weather takes over) Extra info is I have golfed for a bit and have done well for 9 but usually fall apart somewhere to ruin my 18. I know 96 is far from impressive but I’m really happy to start the season this way

I've been slicing forever and yesterday evening I was watching Bryson on youtube and the image of his setup stuck to my head. His driver is like an extension of his arms, there is not much angle between the shaft and the arms.
So what I did was I stood a bit further away from the ball (like I'm slightly reaching for the ball), and "lifted" my arms, or maybe put them more in front rather than down. Also I made sure to keep my lead wrist straight or bowed (not cupped). And I was hitting them straight like never before.
So if someone who slices want ..read more
