When I scroll on firefox it feels laggy, I do have smooth scrolling enabled but that's not what I mean. On a chromium browser, as soon as I do some movement on the touchpad, it scrolls, on firefox, it doesnt scroll until I do X amount of movement. It feels like it scrolls based on lines.
I've also tried changing mousewheel.min_line_scroll_amount to 0 but I still have to do a lot of movement before actually scrolling trough the page

Taking a shot in the dark here because it's driving me bananas.
First of all, streams have a weird strobing / flashing effect to them. Like the brightness of the video is going light-dark-light-dark every second. It's subtle, but it's definitely there.
But more importantly, streams keep dying randomly, usually within just a few minutes. And it doesn't seem to be buffering, because it never recovers. It will just spin forever. I have to click the Live button or refresh the page to get it to go again.
This doesn't happen with ALL YouTube streams necessarily, but there are like 3 channels that I ..read more

I recently switched to firefox from Opera, and I've used both ctrl + E and ctrl + K, but both of them unfortunately default to searching Google, rather than allowing you to type an address directly or search google.
For example, on Opera, if I want to switch from my current page to youtube for example, I just press ctrl + E and type youtube and it auto-fills to youtube.com and I just press enter. On firefox (and chrome), I use ctrl + e and it forces me to search it so I have to move my hand back to my mouse and click the link.
Is there any way to switch the functionality to what Opera does ..read more

I recently made the switch from Chrome to Firefox but noticed that Firefox was using WAY more RAM than chrome. I googled around for a while and found an old Reddit post talking about ''fission:autostart''. Once I disabled this feature, it literally cut my RAM usage threefold.
What exactly is this setting? Is it important? Why does it have such a huge impact on RAM? I found some stuff that it's something to do with site isolation, but I've no clue what that is either.

I am using Debian 12 and when I reinstall or refresh FF from the curent version 125.02 to about 5 versions back if I select in the settings under "Enable DNS over HTTPS over using" and select "Max protection" then choose the provider Cloudflare and then test it by going to the site 1.1.1.1/help it never works I must go back in choose another provider other than cloudflare then reselect cloudflare for it to work.
is this a known bug ?

Since yesterday, when I pause a video it skips four times and it is driving me insane. For example if someone is saying "I'm going to jump" and I pause on the word "jump" it will sound like "I'm going to jum-jum-jum-jum"
Any way to fix this. On mac studio running Sonoma 14.0

I've downloaded an extension to mobile but I just can't find the god-damn option to pin an extension to the toolbar on Android. It simply isn't there. On PC you can just click "pin to toolbar" but not on mobile.
Help please!
