Hello, I'm a revert of roughly 3 months! So my family is very Islamophobic and I cannot just pray anywhere in the house because they are super against it and will probably call me slurs again. I am also a single mother of a 2 year old so I'm not necessarily able to just up and go into my room to pray. So my question is, is there any advice on making Salah a little easier while hiding? N does it make me a "bad" muslim if I'm not able to pray all 5 everyday? Some days I'm able to pray all 5 some I'm not able to pray at all. It literally eats me up inside and I feel terrible. My dad has become interested in Islam and is starting to practice it loosely. He’s a bit shy about it as none of us have ever been religious, but I know it’s been bringing him peace and comfort so I’d like to encourage it more by getting him some kind of gift for Father’s Day. Note: He’s a bit older with a bad hip so a prayer rug is out. He’s very busy so I was thinking maybe a misbaha or some other smaller items he can carry with him? I’m open to any suggestions Also if people can recommend online stores, it’d be greatly appreciated! Thank you so much submitted by /u/Weak-Applause [visit re ..read more

A year ago, I wasn’t a hijab, and honestly I didn’t pray much, I didn’t do anything bad, I just didn’t do the basic things in Islam, but one day I noticed how everything hasn’t been going the way I wanted it, and i decided to change . I started wearing the hijab, and started praying every single day. I finally felt happy with my relationship with allah. After that I had to take important tests that would determine my future, and honestly I didn’t get a very good mark. I was sad for a whole month, since I stu ..read more
