Starr went to work on an April Thursday afternoon at Checkers, a fast food restaurant in her hometown of Memphis, Tennessee as she did many times. She worked past midnight. Via Facebook The Crime On Friday, May 3, 2024, , 46-year-old Kita Bee, a Black trans woman, was struck by one or possibly two vehicles in her hometown of Kansas City, Missouri. Kita was a pedestrian near the 3200 block of Independence Avenue. About 9:30 PM, a silver Chevy Silverado struck the pedestrian and fled the scene. A second vehicle followed the Silverado. The Las Vegas Review Journal published a good local story last week. On Jan. 26, at about 10:45 a.m., LVMPD Communications received a report of a stabbing in the 3700 block of Palos Verdes Street near Twain Avenue.
