So what's the final consensus on coconut oil vs other neutral oils ?

My nutritionist tells me about how coconut oil is monosaturated fats, kind of like animal fat so it will contribute to both good and fat cholesterol. Yes however the molecule chain is longer than animal's but I dont know what difference it makes. I can however understand that polysaturated fats such as canola and grapeseed contribute to good cholesterol only and they have a very slightly better caloric index so why do peopke say that coconut oil is better ? I just dont see any valid point being made here. thanks ! submitted by /u/Sudden_Explorer_7280 [visit reddit] [comments ..read more

Replacement for instant ramen?

I usually use Sapporo Ichiban noodle soup to use up leftovers- a little meat, some carrot, spring onion, snap peas, ginger, garlic, and hot sauce and it’s not bad. But the noodles are likely a processed food disaster. Any recommendations for a replacement I can purchase (not able to make noodles from scratch) please? Is 100% Fruit juice actually bad ?
Reddit » Nutrition

Fruit juices are commonly said to be unhealthy because of the added sugar and maybe some other added ingredients. However, is that still the case for juice/smoothie brands that provide 100% fruit ingredients ? I mean, maybe they add water but no sugar or anything artificial. If I make my own fruit juice/smothie only out of fruits, will it decrease the nutritional value of the fruits compared to if I just ate all of the ingredients ? submitted by /u/UranKhan [visit reddit] [comments ..read more
