SF Sheriff addresses recent jail assaults, low staffing levels

(KRON) – Over the past month, two San Francisco County jails were locked down due to increasing assaults on deputies by inmates at the facilities. (KRON) -- Police have arrested a man who is suspected of stealing a wedding dress off of a Redwood City porch on April 11, the Redwood City Police Department told KRON4 on Wednesday. The dress was found by a "concerned citizen" and returned to the bride, police said. Three Bay Area high schools make US News' top 10 in California

(KRON) -- U.S. News published its list of best public high schools in California this week, and several Bay Area schools cracked the top 10. The front half of the list was dominated by Southern California. (KRON) -- California officials recently gave Marin County nearly $19 million to help move homeless people from encampments to interim housing. Marin County and the City of San Rafael were awarded nearly $6 million by the California Interagency Council on Homelessness (Cal ICH) to address homelessness along the Mahon Creek Path in San Rafael. (KRON) -- On Wednesday, a judge sentenced Lamar Nolan Ryan, 42, to nine months in prison for possessing a loaded firearm and attempting to coerce a woman to be his commercial sex worker, United States Attorney Ismail J.
