On 21 May, the head of the Ukrainian human rights organization Almenda, Mariia Sulialina, will come to Stockholm to receive the Civil Rights Defender of the Year Award, which she got for “outstanding resilience and commitment to human rights, democracy, and children’s right to shape their own future,” according to the international non-governmental organization based in Sweden.

On 25 April in Berlin, NATO chief Jens Stoltenberg stated that “it’s not too late for Ukraine to prevail” against Russia, emphasizing the need for allies to fulfill their promises of delivering more weapons, according to AFP.

As reported by European Pravda with reference to AFP, the US hopes that the allies’ decision to transfer long-range missiles, particularly ATACMS, to Ukraine will prompt Germany to do the same with regards to its Taurus cruise missiles.

Today, there is a lot of news from the Lyman direction. Here, Russian forces refused to accept the defeat in the Battle for Terny, and suddenly opened a new vector of attack to prevent the collapse of their bridgehead, and retake the initiative back in their hands.

Russia launched missile attacks on multiple Ukrainian railway facilities, resulting in at least three deaths and dozens of injuries.
In Donetsk Oblast, an Iskander-M cruise missile struck the railway in Udachne village, killing three railway workers and wounding four others.

In yet another cruel attack on civilian infrastructure, Russian forces fired a missile that struck the railway station in the town of Balakliya in Kharkiv Oblast on Tuesday, wounding 10 civilian people.
The strike occurred in the late afternoon as an electric commuter train was stopped at the Balakliya station, according to Oleh Syniehubov, head of Kharkiv region military administration. The missile impacted just 50 feet (15 meters) away from the passenger train, damaging the rail cars.

The US State Department has called the suspension of consular services abroad for Ukrainian men of mobilization age a “complicated issue.” This was stated by Daniel Sizek, an official representative of the US diplomatic mission in Brussels, in a commentary to Radio Liberty.
