Support Your Caregiver to Thrive
“If you want others to be happy, practice compassion.
If you want to be happy, practice compassion.”
— Dalai Lama
Here are a few tips to spread love with your caregiver:
Write a handwritten thank you letter to your caregiver.
Tell them you appreciate them.
Give them a surprise gift.
Encourage them to take up a new hobby.
Encourage your caregiver to take time out for themselves every day and not to give up time with friends, social contacts or activities.

What is Lorem Ipsum?
Lorem Ipsum is simply dummy text of the printing and typesetting industry. Lorem Ipsum has been the industry’s standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged. It was popularised in the 1960s with the release of Letraset sheets containing Lorem Ipsum passages, and more recently with desktop publishing software like Aldus PageMaker including versions of Lorem Ipsum ..read more

Joy Matters
Joy matters! Yet when diagnosed with breast cancer, it is the first feeling that flies out the window. Of course we aren’t joyful to have been diagnosed with breast cancer, but letting a diagnosis rob us long term from the feelings of joy is harmful to our health. When the feelings of shock, overwhelm, despair, bitterness, anger and fear dominate our thoughts, it can take over everything in life…. which is the very energy of what breast cancer can do… it can take over our joy and eventually spread and overtake one’s spirit.
Joy can be defined differently than happiness. For many of ..read more

The Power of Purpose There is Power and Purpose in Everything
Along with the diagnosis of breast cancer comes fear, unfamiliar medical terms, a new way of trying to manage even the simplest of tasks, and more decisions than most of us are prepared to handle at one time. But the diagnosis also brings these questions:
Do my loved ones truly know that I love them?
How will I live the rest of my life?
Before I die, will I have made a difference?
And we want to know what is our life purpose?
Many have defined the diagnosis of breast cancer as a life-changing experience, yet at the time of ..read more

The Power of Awareness
Everyday is breast cancer awareness month for those of us who have been diagnosed with breast cancer. But for the moment, I want to give thanks for the month of October even though this is the month of February.
October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Most of us are aware of this month’s cause and millions of breast cancer survivors and our loved ones are grateful that others before us have made it a mission to find the cure for breast cancer and to remind each other to practice self-care and to have our checkups and our mammograms. All acts of caring, compassion, kind ..read more

The words from Mother Teresa have never left me. When I first read this about God speaking in the silence of the heart when we listen, I stopped in my tracks because it spoke so deeply to me, that I needed to calm down and listen, because God was speaking. God does not yell or shout, but if I’m in turmoil or fear, I let my fears speak so loudly that I tune out God. When I get still, in that stillness are my answers from God.
There is a light in this world…a healing spirit much stronger
than any darkness we may encounter.
We sometimes lose sight of this force…
where the ..read more
