Over the years I have sat many exams for Microsoft ranging from my first exam of Windows 7 to the latest ones for Azure over the last few years. This has meant that occasionally I have sat what Microsoft call a Beta exam. What is a Beta exam? A Beta exam is ultimately a new exam that Microsoft have developed and have released for feedback from the community. The exam is still an official exam, you get the relevant qualification behind it. Often when a Beta exam is released there is no official learning materials (think training courses, training books, etc) available to study, so there is an ..read more

In a previous blog post I talked about how I have started to use Streamyard for my recordings and live streaming. I've become a firm fan of StreamYard over the last few months. It's great for doing interviews with others and for some straight forward streaming live shows. What I have notice though, is if you are streaming and half way through you start to share your screen, maybe you've decided that you want to show something to your audience after all. StreamYard automatically shares the screen, which could lead to some awkward moments if you are not expecting it. Now it only does this if yo ..read more

Recording your screen for documentation or demo purposes is something we've probably all had to do at some point, or wish we'd love to be able to do. I talked my video creating and editing process in my Camtasia v Premiere Pro blog post. I talked about how I used Camtasia for the screen recording and then exported the recording into Adobe Premiere Pro. On that blog post someone commented that Logitech Ca ..read more
