Glen Powell, star of films like Top Gun: Maverick and Anyone But You, was offered a role in Jurassic World 4, but he turned it down.
While he's been in a number of projects over the years, with his debut being the age-old classic Spy Kids 3: Game Over, it wasn't until 2022's Top Gun: Maverick that he became something of a household name. Now, he's been in films like Hit Man and Anyone But You, and he's starring in the upcoming Twisters reboot, as well as Edgar Wright's remake of The Running Man. But as he shared in a recent interview with The Hollywood Reporter, it seems that he passed on qui ..read more

I don't believe it's absurd or particuarly outrageous to say that fighting games are a relatively niche genre. Yes games like Tekken 8 and Street Fighter 6 sell millions of copies, but compared to bigger hitters out there like the various FPS and MMO titles that dominate the industry, these games don't warrant a king's portion. Indie fighting games, made by smaller teams of nontheless talented and passionate people, are selling to an even smaller consumer base. These games have historically had to be fantastic from day one to garner a sizable community.
So how do you place your metaphorical h ..read more

Since Helldivers 2 took the world by storm, Johan Pilestedt has become a household name, with the Arrowhead CEO's hands-on nature in terms of sharing updates on the game and openly interacting with its players having endeared him to a lot of Super Earth soldiers. Now, Pilestedt's chosen to step down from being a CEO, staying on at the studio in a capacity that's aimed to allow him to focus more heavily on the creative side of developing the game.
Yup, one of the very few CEOs you've ever been able to find responding to posts in a Reddit community - without coming off like either an annoying d ..read more

The Boys showrunner Eric Kripke is looking ahead to future cast members, and he's certainly interested in adding Supernatural star Jared Padalecki for at least one episode.
When you think of Jensen Ackles, you almost definitely will think about his former Supernatural costar Jared Padalecki. They were on that show for so long together, it's hard not to, and seemingly Kripke thinks similarly. The Boys showrunner recently spoke with Entertainment Weekly about his hopes to bring Padalecki on board in some capacity, telling the outlet that "Texts have been sent." He went to say the he feels "like ..read more

If you forgot a new Street Fighter movie was happening, don't worry, me too, but the film's logo is here to remind us it exists.
Last year, Legendary Entertainment gave the honestly not that surprising announcement that a Street Fighter movie was in the works. Video game movies are all the rage these days, after all, and the same production company also made Detective Pikachu and found a lot of success there, so why not a franchise like Street Fighter? We still haven't actually seen anything of the movie itself, nor has any talent been attached to it just yet, but thanks to Collider there is ..read more

Ok, so it's been less than 24 hours since CD Projekt let folks get their hands on The Witcher 3's new REDkit modding tools. Naturally, someone's already had a go at porting the bunch of areas that make up the city of Vizima in The first Witcher game into 3.
If you're out of the loop, REDKIT is designed to give folks modding CDPR's masterpiece more power than ever before, with access to a lot of the same tools the studio orginally used to create the game itself. That includes the ability to do stuff like create new quests, or as is key in this case, add in entire new territories.
So, the latte ..read more

The X-Men have been teased in the MCU for a little while now, but it's sounding like a film of their own is finally in the works.
In films like Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, and series like Ms. Marvel, the MCU has slowly been sowing the seeds of the X-Men, with the former having an alternate universe of Patrick Stewart's Charles Xavier slightly unceremoniously killed off, and the latter retconning Ms. Marvel to be a mutant as opposed to an Inhuman. Now, as reported by Deadline, it sounds like Marvel is getting its ass in gear with the X-Men. According to Deadline's report, Mich ..read more

It sure sounds like X-Men '97 season 2 is happening, but Marvel's head of streaming has offered a friendly reminder of how long animation takes to make.
X-Men: The Animated Series might have wrapped up almost 30 years ago, but as evidenced by the success of X-Men '97, it's clear people were hungry for more of that particular take on the beloved world of mutants. Marvel could see that success coming too, clearly, as a second season was greenlit before the show even aired. However, it is an animated series, and a lot of people just don't seem to realise how long animation takes from script to s ..read more

As promised, FromSoftware has released a fresh look at Shadow of the Erdtree, the massive expansion coming to Elden Ring in just a few weeks. This new story trailer is full of new footage, though most of it is CG.
The trailer is fairly beefy, clocking in at about three minutes. Though it does offer an updated look at the inciting events behind the DLC's story, it's mainly a mood piece more than anything.
