This is the Adams Building in downtown Tulsa, Oklahoma. It was built in 1928 and was originally a hotel.  It was built to attract businessmen who came to Tulsa for the first International Petroleum Exposition.  When it first opened, it advertised itself as the "Address of Distinction" and boasted 50 air-conditioned rooms. The building has 13 stories with a full basement and penthouse. It is the 18th tallest building in the city. When we went to Valencia, Spain we stayed with our friends M & G who rented an apartment there for a month.  The building had an elevator and a set of stairs. I didn't mind going down the stairs, but I always used the elevator going up.  The steps were marble and the stairwell was always empty - we never saw anyone in the building when we came or went.  The tile made everything echo and the entire stair chamber sounded hollow.
