On May 10, Moir's team announced that the Australian would be sitting out of the first round of the EDR in Finale Ligure due to a hand injury. Though it gets less attention than the mainland of BC, the island has a dedicated group of builders and riders and has produced some of mountain biking's biggest names like Jordie Lunn and Stevie Smith.
