25 Technology Memes for the Employees in Need of Tech Support

Technology is singlehandedly the best yet most flustering thing to happen to the workplace. Sure, it's made work increasingly more efficient. Almost too efficient with the invention of AI, but overall, technology has been a great advancement for the workforce...except when it decides randomly not to work. A lot of us grew up with technology that just randomly chose not to work. You hit the side of the TV to fix the signal and restart a desktop monitor when it randomly freezes. You know the drill. Sometimes, technology just doesn't work, and not even the IT workers are sure what to do. Sometim ..read more

All throughout the 2000s and 2010s, we used to eat up "goodwill" stories about people banding together to donate PTO to help a seriously ill team member or crowdfunding to help cover the costs and medical debt of members of the community who were experiencing personal tragedy and medical hardship. While it is great to see people who are able to lend a helping hand—and while these acts of charity are not to be diminished… All this really begs questioning, questioning that is finally being asked more and more frequently in discourse online where these types of stories are no longer viewed purel ..read more

'Couldn't remember groomsmen, went with dudesmaids instead': 20+ Times forgetful people made up their own words

The word is on the tip of your tongue, but you just can't quite remember it… It's a universal experience in this human life of ours. To err is human, and to forget words and make up something silly is funny.  Parents do this all the time. Your parent will point at you, name all your siblings while forgetting your name, and then finally just give up and say, "You, that one. First born. Don't forget to take the recycling out." Though parents have mastered the art of misspeaking, they aren't the only ones who remix words to their liking. Some poetic versions of this phenomenon happen to tho ..read more

Working as a server is certainly not for the faint of heart. The amount of unnecessary nonsense you have to deal with every time you work a shift can easily exceed what other workers have to confront throughout their entire careers. This can range from power-tripping managers to bogus restaurant policies to entitled Karen customers. On top of all of this, you have to deal with the physical exhaustion of being on the move and working on your feet the entire shift. This is also something that the average customer refuses to even attempt to understand.  For those of you who currently work a ..read more

What's the weirdest place your car has ended up? For most of us, that answer is probably nothing exciting. The most drama the majority of us experience with our vehicle is getting it booted, or maybe getting a really high-priced ticket. But these people. Wow. These people. Some of them have gotten themselves into quite a predicament! Their cars have become lodged in some odd places. Just imagine the phone calls these drivers have to make after crashing their cars. The driver in photo #14 would've had to dial up their car insurance and explain that they smashed through the fruit aisle of a gro ..read more

In a perfect world, one should know that success is the best form of revenge and there's no need to go any further than that, but this is not a perfect world. Sure, if you know that you've found success and happiness following a breakup, then there should not be a need to publicize that in any way in order to feel gratification. Knowing that you're happy in and of itself should be enough. However, some moments are just too perfect that you have to post about them on all social media platforms to be sure that your ex sees them.  Here, we have a guy who learned his partner of eight years h ..read more

The interview process brings about a whirlwind of emotions. It's like buying a house. After sifting left and right through job postings, you finally find a job you could see yourself doing. It checks all the right boxes: perfect location, ideal salary, and matches your experience level. You do your research on the company, and you're sold. 'I have the power to make your lives inconvenient': Employee promises to make coworkers work lives harder if they continue to leave spoiled food in the fridge, telling them to 'clean up after themselves'

Some employees think that the office manager, HR, or whoever organizes the office works for them personally. See, I was an office manager back in the day, and people would leave the dining room an absolute mess. When I opened the fridge, I frequently thought that people were growing fungi there on purpose, by leaving their containers for weeks on end. It was so frustrating that I sent out countless emails, and even held an office meeting regarding the whole thing. Nothing changed, and I eventually quit. One employee, much like me, was totally fed up with their coworkers who acted like childre ..read more

Each year, millions of cats and dogs get adopted out, and someone at the shelters will have to name them.  According to Forbes, the number of pups who got their fur-ever home in the US last year was 1.5 million. That's just counting dogs—but shelters also house plenty of cats, and about 978,000 of the little scoundrels were adopted last year. Now, there aren't millions of pigs, lizards, rabbits, or birds sitting in the shelters, but a few of them always come through these shelters' doors, too!  Animal shelter workers tirelessly care for all of their critters. That includes assigning ..read more

Rejection is a hard pill to swallow, no matter what form it comes in. You can sugarcoat it any way you like, throw around the whole "It's not me, it's you," "It's just not a good fit," or "I really don't like the cut of your jib," and your words are still going to have the same message: "I don't want to be around you anymore, and everything is over between us." While there are certain situations where this is more cutting, such as a clandestine rendezvous with a long-time associate, it's still a brutal affront to anyone's ego, even when it comes after a first meeting, shattering any prospecti ..read more
