Naomi, Piper Niven, and Candice LeRae have been eliminated.
The Queen of the Ring tournament kicked off on Monday Night Raw this week and continued on Friday Night SmackDown with three separate first round matches.
First, Naomi had the tough task of squaring up with the recently relocated Nia Jax. She gave one hell of a valiant effort, too, but Jax was simply too big a challenge to overcome.
Later, a good old we had what was basically a HOSS FIGHT with Piper Niven and Jade Cargill throwing heavy blows at each other. In the end, Cargill, who looked impressive here, managed to hit her finish fo ..read more

The next WWE championship match is official, and it’s a surprising choice.
Cody Rhodes successfully defended the WWE championship at Backlash in France against AJ Styles just days ago. As it turns out, it was a one-and-done affair, as there will be no rematch.
That’s because SmackDown General Manager Nick Aldis kicked off this week’s episode of Friday Night SmackDown by informing Rhodes that his next challenger has been determined already. And, wouldn’t you know it, it’s none other than current United States Champion Logan Paul.
Cody Rhodes' next challenger for the #UndisputedTitle is ..read more

The WWE Hall of Famer defends the decision to not give Jey Uso the World Title and discusses LA Knight possibly declining in popularity.
During WWE’s recent European tour, Jey Uso stood out as a top favorite, particularly at Backlash in France. Despite immense crowd support, Uso failed to capture the World Championship from Damian Priest. WWE’s decision not to crown Uso apparently disappointed many fans, a topic Booker T and his co-host Brad Gilmore discussed on Booker’s Hall of Fame Podcast.
Gilmore suggested that WWE should have capitalized on Uso’s popularity by giving him the title ..read more

Members of two prominent factions will clash on SmackDown, potentially leading to significant storyline developments.
As the King and Queen of the Ring tournament takes over SmackDown tonight, a unique matchup in the men’s tourney could impact WWE programming and the upcoming King and Queen of the Ring event in Saudi Arabia.
Tama Tonga of The Bloodline will face The Pride’s Angelo Dawkins, substituting for the group’s leader, an injured Bobby Lashley. The pairing is most interesting as each man represents a strong faction on WWE’s blue brand, and that could potentially lead t ..read more

On the May 1 episode of AEW Dynamite, Orange Cassidy said that Chuck Taylor was told by doctors his wrestling career was over.
The announcement came one week after Taylor took a vicious beating during and after a loss to Trent Beretta in a Parking Lot Fight, and was part of a bigger program about Beretta turning on his now-former Best Friends. But that was Chuck’s only match of the year, and first since last October... so there was suspicion the fiction could be based on truth.
AEW’s announce team updated the 38 year Taylor’s diagnosis on this week’s Dynamite, s ..read more

No word on how Peacock or AEW feel about this WWE/WBD team-up.
Coming into today (May 10), two first round matches from the SmackDown side of the King of the Ring tournament bracket were confirmed for tonight’s episode of SmackDown. With time limited and three Queen of the Ring bouts already set for the show, it wasn’t clear whether the other two opening round mens matches would make the cut for this week.
But this afternoon, WWE announced that at least one more would — Carmelo Hayes vs. Baron Corbin. Former NXT champion Hayes has been featured prominently on the blue brand since being ..read more

The English sensation also took a shot at WWE.
Add Gabe Kidd to the list of names that continue to kick All Elite Wrestling while it’s seemingly down.
Appearing on KCAL News for CBS News in Los Angeles, Kidd was promoting New Japan Pro Wrestling’s Resurgence happening this Saturday in Ontario, CA. In a clip that’s beginning to go viral, Kidd — like CM Punk and Bill Goldberg, among others — took a nasty shot at AEW and its fans while extolling the virtues of New Japan’s product.
“I’ll put it in very simple terms,” Kidd began. “You like theatre? Go and watch WWE. If you’re a fat nerd, you can’t ..read more

Skye Blue’s Instagram
We don’t know, nor do we need, specifics on the comments made toward AEW wrestler Skye Blue by someone at Wednesday night’s Ring of Honor taping in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada that led to the so-called fan being kicked out of Rogers Place.
In calling attention to whatever the attendee said, Blue’s opponent Rachael Ellering referred to their comments as “sexual harassment”. Aubrey Edwards, who was refereeing the match, said the remarks directed at Blue were “disgusting, vile, hateful”.
That’s more than enough to support the decision to call out the bad behavior and ensure th ..read more
