Tonight’s (June 15) one-year anniversary episode of AEW Collision featured a qualifying match for the TNT championship ladder match at the Forbidden Door pay-per-view on June 30. Dante Martin took on Lee Moriarty, and the babyface’s aerial assault was too much for Moriarty to deal with. Dante persevered through the pain of an injured right arm and picked up the win after a wild splash onto Lee. Things got a little more interesting after the match was over, as Shane Taylor Promotions put the boots to Action Andretti and the Martin boys. That’s when Lio Rush came out for the save: Lio Rush sa ..read more

Jon Moxley will defend the IWGP World Heavyweight Championship against Tetsuya Naito on June 30 at the Forbidden Door pay-per-view in Long Island, New York. Some AEW fans may not be familiar with Naito’s history in New Japan Pro Wrestling, so Moxley found another way to try to get you interested in watching this match. On tonight’s (June 15) episode of AEW Collision, after the Blackpool Combat Club defeated TMDK, Lio Rush & Rocky Romero in an 8-man tag team match, Moxley grabbed the mic and cut a promo on Naito. Moxley said he isn’t coming to Forbidden Door to defend a belt. Nope, he has ..read more

Damian Priest on possible leg injury: ‘It feels like trash right now’

WWE The World Heavyweight Champion took a nasty bump that had him hobbling around for the rest of the night. Damian Priest hobbled out of Clash at the Castle with the World Heavyweight Championship still in his possession. By the end of the match, walking was barely an option. During his title defense against Drew McIntyre, Priest attempted a springboard attack while McIntyre was outside the ring. However, Priest’s right leg got caught in the ropes, and he ultimately required assistance from McIntyre in getting untangled. Priest limped around the ring for the rest of the match and, at times, n ..read more

Clash at the Castle recap & reactions: For all the marbles

WWE.com CM Punk is disrespectful, Cody Rhodes is vengeful, and we got new Women’s tag team champions at this year’s Clash at the Castle. Eye for An Eye I’ve thought about this song a lot the past few weeks. Mostly because the whole Kendrick and Drake thing got me thinking about Nas and Jay-Z. When Nas released this freestyle, this feud seemed very personal. Although, rhymes aside, dropping anything on this Havoc produced beat feels ugly. But I thought about the song again when Clash at the Castle went off the air. Drew McIntyre and CM Punk’s mutual disdain was already pretty high; something te ..read more

CM Punk hopes to get cleared to wrestle next week

WWE He says he’s got an appointment to see about it and could be at SmackDown in Chicago next Friday to announce as much. CM Punk made a surprise appearance in the main event of Clash at the Castle today (Sat., June 15, 2024) in Glasgow, Scotland, to screw Drew McIntyre out of the world heavyweight championship. He dressed up as a referee and mocked McIntyre before delivering a low blow that led to Damian Priest scoring the win. Punk got just physical enough that it led folks to wonder if the timing is right for him to be cleared to actually wrestle again. After all, some big shows are coming ..read more
