It’s our favorite time of the year and we are SO excited to celebrate Conor’s first holiday season. I’ve been on the hunt for a few weeks now for some holiday pajamas for him that are extra special for his first Christmas (and let’s be honest–all December long!). Whether you’re looking for something more traditional or more playful, there are so many adorable designs out there and in many cases you can find some to match your little ones. Most of these brands have onesies and two-piece pajamas for both babies and toddlers. A ton of brands have been having holiday pajama sales this past week ..read more

Come on over

With the move to Dallas all we’ve been thinking about is how excited we are to have visitors. Whether it’s MG’s family coming to visit, our friends who hopefully will come all of the time, or even my family if they want to stay over for a night out without driving home. It was the driving decision in us choosing to get a two-bedroom apartment in the move to ensure that we could have our loved ones come stay with us. We’ve been shopping for apartment things for the past month and when we started to look at bedding for our guest bedroom and our room we gravitated immediately toward Serena & ..read more

Summery Little Black Dress

Summer is in full swing, and outside of soaking up as much of my favorite season as possible we’ve been on the wedding and party circuit. If I have the opportunity to, I’ll choose a dress just about anytime I need to dress up. I’m a big fan of rompers and jumpsuits, and love this one for a short version that can be easily dressed up, but let’s be honest–that comes with it’s own set of problems if you’re drinking champagne all night. It can be tempting to go a little wild with summer colors and prints and admittedly, I’ve done that many years in the past. I actually have a section o ..read more

Wedding Bliss

It’s been exactly a month since our wedding day, which, in every way possible was the very best day (and weekend) of our lives. We’ve been on a high for the past few weeks since returning from our honeymoon just feeling so overwhelmed with love for our family, friends, and everyone who has continued to support us in our lives. As many weddings we have been to together and friends that we’ve talked to, nothing quite prepared us both for the emotion that we felt on our wedding day. Every picture and video just brings ear-to-ear smiles to our faces thinking back on the day and feeling the love ..read more

Honeymoon Shopping

Hi guys! I’m still here (I promise) and have been super focused on the final wedding prep and planning. It has been such an exciting (but busy) time, and I’m trying to soak it in as much as possible. That being said, I’ve been doing A LOT of shopping ahead of a lot of festivities and of course, our honeymoon. I tell MG everyday how excited I am for the wedding and our trip. We really haven’t ever been on a trip like this just for ourselves because we’ve had so many destination weddings over the last 3 years and we both can’t wait to be on the beach in full relaxation mode following a weekend ..read more

How I’m prepping my skin for the wedding

It’s hard to believe that we’re just 2 months out from the wedding! It really snuck up on us, but we’re getting so excited now that it’s finally feeling like it’s almost here. The best thing about a May wedding in Dallas is that we get to escape the cold of New York City and really feel like we’re starting the best time of the year in warm weather! I love being lazy and taking it slow during the winter, but this year I knew I needed to be more on top of my health, working out, and of course my skin. We’ve had extremely windy and cold days (although seasonably warmer than usual), which was dry ..read more

Shopbop Spring Sale

This Shopbop sale couldn’t be coming at a more perfect time. Everyone is tired of winter and dreaming of warmer days and sunny beach days, and we’re just 2 months away from the wedding, which means that there are plenty of items I’m looking for! My roundup consists mostly of things that I’m shopping for to wear at my bachelorette weekend next month, a little bit of searching for white dresses, and the honeymoon (which I absolutely cannot wait for). I’m looking for some sandals since I wore a few of mine out last summer and love these simple tan slides and these white slides for the beac ..read more

7 Valentine’s Day Gift Ideas

Valentine’s Day is not a holiday that we celebrate as a couple, but in general I’m a big believer in surprising your loved one. MG does an incredible job of making me feel special on a regular basis. Honestly, the smaller gestures are the ones that mean the most in my book. Whether it’s going out to get me coffee, doing the dishes or cleaning up the apartment before I get home from a long day, or surprising me with a glass of wine when I walk in the door he’s always keeping me on my toes and looking to put a smile on my face. While we stay in for Valentine’s Day and cook at home, it’s a fun e ..read more

Weekend Notes

This weekend I found myself on Pinterest for the first time in a while, and I have to say it helped stir up some creative juices. We’re deep in wedding planning (more to come on that soon!) and while I was definitely looking for some ideas, I found myself inspired by dreamy home interiors, delicious recipes, and simple style. Weekends lately have been relatively slow, which we’ve welcomed with open arms. It has been so nice to just catch up on life and start the week feeling rested and rejuvenated. Coming out of a crazy end to last year I desperately needed it. I usually play all of my catch ..read more

All About the Dyson Airwrap (and why it’s a complete gamechanger)

Can you imagine only ever needing just one tool to do your hair? Neither could I. Sometimes I just want a quick blowdry, other times I just want a clean and sleek look, and occasionally I want a loose curl if I have time. Enter: the Dyson Airwrap. I was initially mesmerized by the tool because you don’t need anything else. No brushes, curling irons – just you and the airwrap happily ever after. I have to admit early on that I’ve hesitated in posting the review because it’s sold out everywhere (and has been for a while), but in the event that they come back in stock I wanted you guys to ..read more
