While it looks quite similar on the outside, there’s plenty of new tech in the updated Super-9 Disc wheel to make you go faster. A wide-tire tubeless rim goes hookless to further reduce rolling resistance. While subtly updated shaping and a new dimple pattern outside promise smoother airflow. Zipp went through 7 prototypes in the wind tunnel to get to this new Super-9. And tested 8 of the most popular TT & Tri bikes to make sure it make all racers faster against the clock. There’s even an updated Super-9 Track Disc that’s hoping to speed things up this summer inside the velodrome…

The new Insta360 X4 upgrades their surprisingly compact 360º action camera to capture 8K footage, also adding AI-powered processing and lots of other fun features.
Like its competitors, the new max resolution bumps everything else up beneath it, giving you more frame rates at higher rez to choose from, too. Options for 360º footage using both lenses are:
8K30
5.7K60
4K100
2.7K120
Or, switch it to single lens mode and it goes to 4K60 for standard action camera footage. Need subject tracking? The “ME” mode shoots 360º in 4K but saves the footage pre-framed with the selected subject centered i ..read more

Venice Beach, California’s BlackHeart Bike Co is launching the sibling to their Road Ti in the new Road AL. And it’s launching this new steed at this year’s Sea Otter Classic. So, we’ll be sure to sweep their booth by and take a few pictures of it up close and personal.
Back in January this year, BlackHeart released the Gravel AL, so it makes sense to add an aluminum-framed road rocket to the high-end aluminum line of bikes. As mentioned before, the Road AL is “a mirror image of the successful Road Ti”, but at a lower price point. Plus, it comes with BlackHeart’s signature custom Cerakote pai ..read more

Coming in hot with new gear at the Sea Otter Classic, Praxis has a full menu of new designs, including an all-new road race crankset, the Praxis Doon. But its not all skinny tire gear — Praxis is reviving a mountain bike favorite in the Podium pedal and a new mountain stem.

POC’s all-new Procen Air aero road helmet takes obvious design cues from time trial. But it dials it back just a notch, to blur those aerodynamic lines enough to drop back into all-rounder road bike riding versatility. There’s no doubt that this will be one of the most contentious helmets in your weekly group ride.
But in reality, it feels great – both light and well-vented. Its magnetic snap-in integrated lenses/visors offer great protection and clear views. The partial ear covers seem to effectively tune out some wind noise without blocking peripheral sounds.
And POC promises that it will m ..read more

Bontrager is ramping up its RSL (Race Shop Limited) line for 2024. Trek is bringing more gear under the once-limited RSL moniker. “RSL” is replacing the “XXX” line of top-end Bontrager and Trek goods. We’ve seen it recently with the newest Trek Road shoes, which makes sense. Now its the new Bontrager RSL mountain bike tires.

Another thing that makes perfect sense is the new naming convention of these Bontrager tires. The team traded in the “XR2… “etc. for actual names of the courses and locations that the tires succeed on. Even more remarkable, you can tell the course’s deman ..read more
