“Peaky Blinders” series creator Steven Knight has confirmed that things are lined up for filming to commence this Fall on the movie based on the period crime series. Speaking with The NME, Knight says “it’s gonna happen this September” and he’s doing the final polishes on the script which he expects to continue up until the day before shooting. Back in Summer 2022, writer/director Christopher McQuarrie and actor/producer Tom Cruise were working on the two “Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning” films, the second of which is still ongoing at this time. A few years back, director Frank Darabont hinted that he’d retired from filmmaking… at least until the Duffer brothers came calling. The Insneider is reporting that Darabont is confirmed to have directed two episodes of the final season of Netflix’s “Stranger Things” which will reportedly clock in with eight total episodes. DreamWorks Animation and Universal Pictures have announced that “Gabby’s Dollhouse: The Movie” will open nationwide on September 26th 2025. Peter Jackson’s “The Lord of the Rings” trilogy is returning to cinemas this Summer. Warner Bros. Pictures and Fathom Events are teaming to bring the extended editions of the trilogy to cinemas. More specifically the remastered versions of those editions which Jackson did in 2020 for the 4K UHD disc release are what’s being screened – the first time that version has been available on the big screen.
