My Vivier Journey – Skin Care for My Needs
Falling in Style

My friends and I care about skin care and we’re always sharing skin care solutions. It’s something to do with getting older – noticing a wrinkle or maybe sun damage or an uneven complexion. I don’t fear getting older. I don’t expect my skin to stay the same. What I do want is to be the best ME at every age and right now that age is 43. For my skin that means using product that protects against the sun, slowing down the aging process and hoping to get great looking skin. Partnering with Vivier (here) just made sense.   I visited Edelstein Cosmetics (here) and met with Petra, a medi ..read more

Holiday Dresses – I Found a few from Éditions de Robes

I love dresses. They are everywhere and pretty easy to find. What’s not easy to find is great dresses with sleeves and dresses that are made with great structure and shape. Dresses that are made for women. Canadian brand Éditions de Robes (here) has come to fill that void. I’ve selected a few of my favourite styles and am sharing them on this post. The Aurora – A long sleeve structured dress with strong shoulder detail (here).   This Dress is sold out but similar style is the Klea (here). Beautiful neck detail.   Alanis 3/4 Sleeve Sheath Dress – This dress is about a stateme ..read more

It’s Christmas time and the Holiday season so of course a gold suit just makes sense. I went big and bold when I wore the entire suit but in later posts I will be showing how to break it up. A Red Dress

Red is my favourite colour – a red dress just made sense. I haven’t worn a lot of asymmetrical dresses because the fit and cut wasn’t made for my tall curved frame. This Maggy London dress (found here, here & here) It has a bit of a throwback feel and the midi length is my go to. Plus it has sleeves!! It’s been a while since I posted. I’ll do better. SASSOON CONTEST!!

I’ve been a Sassoon client for a year and a half. My relationship started with an influencer role but I’ve maintained my relationship with the salon after my obligations were filled. I’ve found my stylist Wesley and colourist Kimberly to be infallible throughout my hair journey, each offering guidance along the way. For example, I’ve followed their advice when getting wedding ready (had my hair cut and coloured a week before and had it styled simply), heeded their experience when it’s come to hair treatments (leave in salon treatments to help with moisture for my colour treated hair and a tre ..read more

Medium Coverage Foundation – Sharing my Two Favourite Ones!
Falling in Style

I only started wearing foundation in my late 30s. When I was in my 20s foundation was offered in limited shades and it often looked cakey, thick and you could see a clear line on the wearers face. Who would want to wear foundation if that was the result? Foundation has changed a lot and I’ve also gotten older so now I wear foundation. What I’ve found with wearing foundation is I prefer a medium coverage foundation. Now many foundations are buildable but I honestly don’t use them like that. I don’t really know how to “build” them and am a simple make up girl. The two foundations I am mentioning ..read more

Sassoon presents FORM – Natural and Effortless Hair

I grew up in the 80s. Hair in the 80s was big, over processed, over done and hair sprayed. I remember we were all taking fashion and hair cues from the hair bands like White Snake, Poison and Motley Cru. It was a crazy time and I have to say I am very happy it is over. Sassoon presents the new Spring and Summer 2018 Collection FORM, a series of hairstyles reflecting how traditional French workwear labels have become a source of inspiration for many modern brands, even for hair. In an age where collective action is taking the cult of personality, celebrity-led fashion looks stale. The time is ..read more
