THE BEAR & THE CAT ACT & THANKFULS
The Cat On My Head
by Janet Blue
5h ago
Thoroughly Poetic Thursday Teddy and Angel Sammy (Two Spoiled Cats) gave us another fantastical photo for this week’s poetry challenge. I made it even sillier by adding Raleigh to the photo. I had not added one of the Kitties Blue in a really long time, and this seemed like a great opportunity to do so.  Hope Raleigh doesn’t slide right off that polar bear’s back and land on his head.     The Bear & The Cat Act Look at that polar bear with his pet cat. That’s the funniest thing I’ve seen since The Cat in the Hat! Do you think they are part of a circus act? I wonder why they ..read more

EARTH DAY & DIRTY TOES
The Cat On My Head
by Janet Blue

Sparks Today is Earth Day, and I selected an appropriate quote for my Spark. The Spark may be evident, but it is definitely worth reminding ourselves of it every day. The first Earth Day was April 22, 1970. The Earth Day Organization web-site is bursting with information about Earth Day and its origins and definitely worth your time to read.     The author of today’s Spark, Juan Evo Morales Ayma is a 64-year-old Bolivian labour leader. He served from 2006 to 2019 as Bolivia’s President and was Bolivia’s first president of indigenous descent. Sparks is the creation of Annie from McGu ..read more

GINGER TABBY BOYS’ TWO-FUR
The Cat On My Head
by Janet Blue

Sunday Selfies: Week #505     I mentioned yesterday that I might have a two-fur or usie, as they are more commonly known, for today’s selfie. Here is Cooper Murphy in the foreground and Raleigh in the background. As you can see, Cooper Murphy, at almost 20 pounds, outweighs his little brofur substantially! E-Mail Problems As I also mentioned yesterday, my e-mail (janet.blue@thecatonmyhead.com) is currently not working. I can neither send nor receive e-mail. I have gotten nowhere with trying to resolve the problem and expect it will be Monday before I can get it fixed. If you need to ..read more

3,500TH POST & RETURN OF THE CATIO KITTIES
The Cat On My Head
by Janet Blue
5d ago
It’s hard to believe, but this is The Cat on My Head’s 3,500th post. It has taken nearly 12 years to get to this point. To everyone who has ever visited, we thank you!  Caturday Art Audrey and Raleigh are back today, as I used their Feline Friday photo as the basis for today’s Caturday Art.     To create today’s art, I used the Bozin effect from Painnt and backed off a bit on the saturation. To that I added the Faded Paper filter from piZap at 100 percent. The frame is from the favpng app. Today, I am giving you two puzzles. I created one from the original photo and one from th ..read more

The Cat On My Head

I don’t know how I messed this up, but I some how scheduled this post to go out at 11 p.m. tonight. Sorry! Thoroughly Poetic Thursday Angel Sammy and Teddy (Two Spoiled Cats) provided an adorable inspiration photo for today’s poetry challenge. Well…I think it is an adorable photo. Kitties Blue…not so much.     Doggie Day Care Doggie Day Care is so much fun! I get to go to the park and swing in the sun, Some canines would rather run around crazily, but I prefer to go up and down lazily. Sometimes I get a dog biscuit to munch. I keep time with the swing…crunch…crunch…crunch. When it i ..read more

THE ADVENTURES OF PERIWINKLE & STINKY: PART CCXXXII
The Cat On My Head
by Janet Blue
1w ago
It is Tuesday, so Stinky is anxiously waiting by the teleportation tunnel for Periwinkle’s arrival. He is unsure about the plan for their adventure and whether or not Periwinkle will enjoy it. He doesn’t have long to brood about it, as the teleportation tunnel starts to vibrate, and Periwinkle pops out with the usual whoosh. Stinky catches her in his paws and they share some whisker kisses. After several minutes of catching up on the week’s events, Stinky leads Periwinkle back into the teleportation tunnel. Virginia Tech – Blacksburg, Virginia Their trip is an especially quick one. They are on ..read more

And she is always happy to pose!     Kizmet will be looking for your selfie on the hop as will I and the remainder of the Kitties Blue. If you cannot come by today, that’s A-OK. The hop remains open through Thursday. If you would like to encourage some of your friends, who may not know about our hop, to join us, that would be terrific! Thank you so much for coming by today. SAWYER’S KALEIDOSCOPIC CATURDAY ART
The Cat On My Head
by Janet Blue
1w ago
Kaleidoscopic Caturday Art Sawyer is here today in Lisbeth’s fish bed, which she received several years ago from her boyfriend Charles. Charles is an angel, but his gift remains and is a favorite of all the Kitties Blue who are able to fit inside. The day Sawyer was enjoying it, the fish was atop a warm radiator and in a sunpuddle. Pretty much everything a cat could want, except for maybe some nommy treats to munch. The photo makes it look as if Sawyer’s head is not attached to his body, but he was in one piece the last time I checked.     To create the art, I used the Latham effect ..read more
