During the last few weeks, my favorite baseball team, the Tampa Bay Rays has been slumping. A combination of injuries, personal troubles, stars not performing to their potential, has the team in next to last place in their Division. I can't seem to get past a page or two of Meditations, by Marcus Aurelius, without an "ah,ha" moment. This morning, this little gem popped up: "You're an old man now. It's time to stop being a slave; to no longer be pulled along like a puppet on strings; to stop being dissatisfied with today and afraid of tomorrow." I have long admired the beauty, intelligence and social abilities of our dinosaur friends.
