The six weeks holidays have begun, and with so many people avoiding holidays abroad (us being one of them) it’s been a time of chilling at home and planning little activities for the break.  I found about Dino Kingdoms through the magic of social media – with it being fairly local to us and a slew of decent reviews we decided to visit.  They say: Step back in time and explore roaring and moving Dinosaurs and state-of-the-art 3D and AR technology. Immerse yourself in unforgettable interactive activities and enjoy a range of thrilling fairground rides, delicious food and drink and much ..read more

Hello. Bonjour. Hola. So this is a little strange. I haven’t written a blog post in years – to take a guess, I am going to say around 7. This domain, which once meant so much to me, which once had thousands of visitors a day and represented years and years of hard work, was about to lapse and I felt nothing.  I was ready to just let it go.  Then a friend said to me, why don’t you just renew it for old times sake?  I tried to open up this website and I couldn’t.  Abandoned and unloved, bots and hacks had managed to completely bring the site down as well flooding my long fors ..read more

Afternoon everyone! I thought I’d do a group review of some of the new things I’ve been testing out these last few weeks. You may know that I have a new addition to the family so unsurprisingly, we are just getting through each day as it comes, as so often happens when you have a new baby. It’s fine. Things feel fairly under control! So whilst I am not up for full reviews, I can certainly talk you though some of my purchases/PR samples etc.  1. Beauty Pie – May  Despite saying I would cancel my subscription, I forgot and since I had £100 credit plus 3 kind people used my referral code, I had ..read more

Hey up ladies! Well it’s been a crazy few months for me and this current month has been insane (moving house, having a BABY) and yet, I find myself snatching the odd 15 minutes here and there to feel normal, if that makes sense, to do things that are regular things I used to do all the time like…blogging?! Although I have to say any reviews I write these days will be short and snappy, maybe my grammar won’t be perfect, maybe the photos won’t be the best but it’s the best I can do right now with 3 kids, life and work. I hope they are still useful to some of you.  So…today I have more Beauty Pie ..read more

Designing a dream kitchen!

So a little while ago, my mum was doing some home renovations and I pretty much (with little experience) ended up planning her entire kitchen design for her!  Her kitchen is medium sized and a very practical space (she loves to cook) and I amazed myself by how much I enjoyed researching and designing a space for her.  It was SO important to find a good reputable builder and a trustworthy supplier, someone with a large range who would provide a good service – somewhere like Kitchen Warehouse which allows you to build a custom space.   So here are some steps I took in designing her kitchen: 1 ..read more

Let’s talk about Teeth!

Ok, so be honest.  How well are you looking after your teeth?  Sure, you brush twice a day, but do you use the right toothpaste, the best toothbrush, floss and do you actively avoid sugary drinks and food which are notoriously bad for your teeth? I admit, when I am busy and stressed I don’t take care of my teeth as well as I should.  A recently visit to the dentist where they said I needed a root canal (argh!) reminded me that it’s so easy to neglect something like dental care when it should be something to prioritise – you only get one set of adult teeth, and yet we probably spend more money ..read more

Zerowater Jug Review

Happy Monday! It’s been a while my friends, but we have been under a fog of life, I am hoping to pick up on blogging again.  I was sent a Zerowater water purifying jug (12 cup version £39.99 – other sizes are available) to try about 7 weeks ago.  We normally use a Brita water filter because the cartridges are cheap and easy to get hold of and it just helps remove the ‘tap-ness’ of tap water.   Zerowater is supposed to be way more advanced – water goes through 5 stages and it is supposed to remove 99.6% of TDS (total dissolved solids) whereas Brita will take about half.  I recently went off fi ..read more

Red Carpet Manicure Gel Polish Pro Kit Review

I always look at the mums on the school yard with polished nails with envy – how do they have the time to do that? How do their manicures look so perfect?  I seldom have time to do my nails plus they chips super fast (I mean, within a day) so I don’t bother.  I could go to a salon but the cumulative cost is too much for me.  So I was pleased to receive a Red Carpet Manicure Gel Polish Kits (£69.95).  I have had gel nail polish kits before but for whatever reason, they have fallen out of favour (such as the lamp that burned my fingers, or the polish that just peeled off despite being a gel). I ..read more

Summer Holidays Toy Fun with Strictly Briks

A while ago we were sent some sets from Strictly Briks to play with.  The company makes Lego compatible pieces which open up different ways to play with bricks. They specials it base plates and pieces so you can build towers, they also have letters and numbers you can use on the plates as well as a game.  We have the Trap and Gap base plates and Brik Towers: The Brik Trap and Gap set has two large base plates, and 2 stackable base plates plus 15 of the column pieces.  They idea is that the trap doors open so that you can push things through (such as cars!).   The Tower set has a whopping 12 ..read more
