In this week’s story, a divorced dad has sex with a woman he’s a little afraid of, and goes on a date with a 31-year-old lawyer: 43, single, Brooklyn Heights.
DAY ONE
8:59 a.m. I am finally alone. I’ve dropped my two children at their various schools and am walking back to my apartment with a hot coffee in hand.
9:10 a.m. As I turn the corner onto my block, I walk past a celeb. He’s always very cheerful and “normal.” My neighborhood is filled with celebrities. It’s very exciting.
10 a.m. Get to work at my home office. I’m an architect. I’m also newly divorced ..read more

Summer Fridays are here and so is the Trump hush-money trial verdict. He’s guilty, baby! Aside from that big news moment, the week was pretty low-key. Willow Smith won our best-dressed list at the premiere of her father’s new movie, Bad Boys: Ride Or Die, and Zoë Kravitz was named the first ambassador of jewelry brand Jessica McCormack. Below are the best-dressed celebrities this week.

Sad news for my fellow Poppi heads: The company behind the viral prebiotic soda alternative is facing a class-action consumer-fraud lawsuit alleging that it misrepresents the beverage’s gut-health benefits. Pour one out for my beloved Raspberry Rose.
Launched in 2020, Poppi combines fruit juice, apple-cider vinegar, and inulin prebiotics — dietary fibers that help beneficial bacteria grow in your bowels, per Healthline. The brand advertises its soda alternative as “gut healthy” and counts celebrities like Kylie Jenner and Post Malone among ..read more

Believe it or not, we’re not just a single zodiac sign; we’re the entire sky. At the exact moment you were born, every planet, celestial body, and galactic coordinate occupied a zodiac sign — and each has a specific astrological significance. Let’s dive into one of the most popular, and most misunderstood, placements: the rising sign, otherwise known as your ascendant.
First, what actually is the Rising Sign?
That second you took your first breath, all the planets were arranged in a unique configuration. The snapshot of the sky at your ..read more

The Texas Supreme Court unanimously ruled on Friday against 20 women who filed a lawsuit after being denied medically necessary abortions, arguing that the exceptions currently spelled out in the state’s abortion ban are sufficiently broad and that doctors who refuse to offer abortion care when a pregnant person’s life is in danger misunderstand the law.
The decision, issued by nine Republican justices, rejected the plaintiffs’ argument that the exceptions are vague enough that Texas physicians are turning away patients with critical pregnancy c ..read more

As a way to make up for the lack of kids’ sales in my coverage lately, today’s Friday Sales roundup has plenty of deals on everything from a $10 swim hat for babies to a watercolor set (though I’d argue adults can use the later, too). I also found excellent discounts on so ..read more

Chris Evans found himself in hot water recently when a 2016 photo of him signing an artillery shell on a USO trip started doing the rounds again. Obviously, this is a bad look for anyone. Putting your autograph on something that will inevitably be used to kill people is not very becoming of one of the internet’s favorite boyfriends. Thankfully, Evans cleared things up. He wasn’t actually signing an artillery shell; he was signing a fake artillery shell that was only used to train people on how to use the real ones. I guess he thinks that ..read more

On Thursday, a jury in Boise, Idaho, found doomsday author Chad Daybell guilty of murdering his first wife and two of his current wife’s children. The verdict concludes the five-year saga of “the doomsday couple,” as Daybell and his wife, Lori Vallow, were dubbed by the media because of their apocalyptic beliefs.
Daybell’s conviction comes nearly a year after Vallow was sentenced to life in prison without parole for her part in the murders. Prosecutors argued that in September 2019, Daybell and Vallow killed Vallow ’s 7-year-old son, Joshua “J.J.” Vallow, and her 16-ye ..read more

This week, Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt’s daughter Shiloh Jolie-Pitt turned 18 and promptly filed to change her name. According to TMZ and People, the teen submitted paperwork requesting to legally remove “Pitt” from her last name, opting to officially go by Shiloh Jolie.
The filing comes amid Jolie and Pitt’s contentious eight-year divorce, during which Jolie has accused Pitt of physically abusing her and one of their six children, allegations he denies. In recent years, a few of the kids appear to have distanced themselves from Pitt, at least ..read more
