On July 8th, Igor Casu set a new Romanian distance record (345 Km) on his Enzo 3. Flying with Igor was Stelian Popescu who flew 341.5 km on his Alpina 2. Igor reports: “The first climb was consistent and turbulent, but it was premature to say we cracked “The day-workflow”. After 2 thermals, all pilots split in 3 groups, our group consisted of 7 pilots with B/C/D/CCC wings. Due to shear turbulence the thermals were shreded and it paid off to stay glued in Gaggle. The 16th FAI European Championship in Nis, Serbia, has concluded with six valid tasks. It was a hotly contested event flown in challenging conditions. During the last task, Ozone designer, Luc Armant, crossed the speed section 1 min and 36 sec ahead of Maxime Pinot, who had led the race since day one. This gave Luc the necessary points to win the championship at the final moment. Luc’s consistency along the competition was the key to his win. The PWC in Krushevo, Macedonia has come to an end after seven valid tasks. Ozone team pilot, Baptiste Lambert , was the overall winner followed by his teammate Charles Cazaux in second. They flew the Enzo 3 & the Submarine. Third place went to Daniel Tyrkas, also flying the Enzo 3. The 15th Ozone Chabre Open has come to a close after 4 fun days of flying.  The Overall winner was Steve Montfort flying his Alpina 3. Steve also won a free entry by submitting the winning design for the competition T-Shirt. In second place was Nicola Moeckli followed by Matt Wilkes (Swift 5) in third. Ozone Team Pilot, Joachim Oberhauser has won the Italian Championships 2022  in Feltre, Italy.  Joachim flew his Enzo 3 / Submarine and shared the podium with Denis Soverini  (Enzo 3)  and Christian Biasi (Enzo 3) in third. Italian Paragliding Team Leader Alberto Castagna won the Serial Class title, for the second time in a row, flying with his brand new Zeno2.  In the ladies category the winner was Silvia Buzzi Ferraris (Enzo 3). “After second place in the French Championship and the trees, I had to bounce back and do a good competition at the Pre World Championship in Cœur de Savoie, especially for the mental. It’s done, I won this last competition by 3 small points!!! What a start to the year, 5 competitions, 3 wins and 2 second places, didn’t expect that much but I’ll take it! Ozone Team Pilot, Rafa Saladini  has just won his second consecutive  Panamerican PG championship celebrated in Governador Valladares, Brazil.
