On March 27, the third of the four Scorpène submarines of Brazilian Navy’s ProSub program was launched at the Itaguaí Naval base. Naval Group As informed, the vessel Tonelero has been built entirely in Brazil by Itaguaí Construções Navais (ICN) thanks to years of successful technology transfer and partnership with Naval Group.  Brazilian President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva and French President Emmanuel Macron attendee the launching ceremony. Seaspan Shipyards (Seaspan) has been awarded the construction engineering (CE) and long lead items (LLI) contracts for the pre-construction work of the Canadian Coast Guard’s (CCG) first six multi-purpose vessels (MPVs). Defense company Bollinger Shipyards has held a keel-laying ceremony for the future USNS Muscogee Creek Nation, the tenth Navajo-class towing, salvage and rescue ship (T-ATS). The U.S. Navy has awarded The Boeing Company a $1.3 billion contract for the purchase of 17 F/A-18 Super Hornets. US Navy As informed, the order was placed on March 19.
