Warung Ijo is a popular vegetarian restaurant in Singapore that serves delicious Indonesian cuisine. Located in the heart of the city, the restaurant boasts a cozy atmosphere and friendly staff. The menu features a variety of traditional Indonesian dishes, such as nasi goreng, sate ayam, and rendang, at reasonable prices with generous portions. The food is freshly prepared and cooked to perfection, with bold flavors and just the right amount of spices. Guests can even choose their preferred spice level. The restaurant’s owner is also authentically Indonesian. I love their food—it’s so authenti ..read more

I have been Urban Sketching for about 9 years. I joined after I saw videos on YouTube by Parka. Seeing people at a symposium looked like lots of fun! I attended the USk Chicago symposium and have been to every one since then. This is my tribe! I love meeting sketchers from all over the world and sharing our passion.  I live in San Francisco, a wonderful city with many great locations, such as ornate Victorians, museums, historic forts and great cafes! My sketches of the Dutch windmill, Victorian home and the colorful Blue Heron boathouse were all done on location with Fountain pens and wa ..read more

Tessa Dadley is a Pharmacy Technician working for the NHS, based in Coventry, United Kingdom, and is a member of London Urban Sketchers. This sketch depicts the Bournville Village Festival, held annually in a suburb of Birmingham, UK. The festival, which began in 1902 to celebrate the coronation of King Edward VII, was originally organized as a festival for local children. Its success led George Cadbury, the founder of the village council and maker of the world-renowned Cadbury’s Chocolate, to establish it as an annual event, held in the grounds of the chocolate factory. The Historical City Pune, Attraction of Sketchers
Urban Sketchers

Pune is a historical sprawling city in the western Indian state of Maharashtra. It was once the base of the Peshwas (prime ministers) of the Maratha Empire, which lasted from 1674 to 1818. Pune exemplifies an indigenous Marathi culture and ethos, in which education, arts and crafts are given due prominence. I have been waiting for many years to go to Pune for sketching. The old historical buildings of Pune for Sketchfest, they welcomed me. After that, as soon as I knew to go for the sketchwalk, I immediately got ready. The first place for sketching was Shaniwar Wada. Shaniwar Wada is a 13 ..read more

Omakase means leaving the meal entirely to the hands of the chef, the chef usually has the final say in the menu. Very similar in sketching, we own the capture in our sketch narrative, here I tried to assemble the sights, smell, taste experience in my gastronomic omakase feast at Sushi Reki. I am keenly interested in pen and ink sketching. Everything beneath the sky is lit up by the sun’s rays creating an interesting interplay of light and shadow. I started sketching outdoors from my college days along with my friend. After some years my sketching became more disciplined and precise. Sketching became almost a second nature to me , staying with me for life , giving me boundless joys , which I try to share with others through my sketching. Pen and ink is medium with a great scope and has played a phenomenal role in my evolution as an artist. Constant sketching helped improve my obs ..read more

Lake Apex in Gatton, Australia
Urban Sketchers

This painting was done on July 2023 by the lake. I was on a solo traveling to Queensland, Australia. I lived in Gatton for 6 months to work on a farm. Being alone without any friends to hang out with was quite miserable to me. I felt so lonely in the first two months, felt like I was lost in my own thoughts. I figure out things and try to embrace them. It drew me back to my old hobby. So a good friend of mine from Bali sent me a sketchbook and watercolor as I only brought painting brushes but left all the other drawing tools in Bali. Being alone wasn’t too bad apparently. I found my peace whe ..read more
