The seniors, who have worked hard all year and throughout their school careers, were presented with plaques and certificates for scholarships and achievements. The Glow Run fundraiser for Bond County 4th Fest was held at the end of April. Despite the cold and rain runners and walkers turned out to support the cause and have some fun. The Mulberry Grove Shooting aces were at the Rend Lake Shooting Complex on May 4th and 5th. Drake Lawler brought home a win in the Singles Class A taking 3rd place. Lawler’s scores were 97 of 100 for singles, 91 of 100 for handicaps and 87 of 100 for doubles. Dalton Apple shot 44 of 100 in singles. Liam Crawford shot 66 of 100 in singles and 76 of 100 in handicaps. Klay Von Hatten shot 69 of 100 in singles and 49 of 100 in doubles. Blake Miller shot 66 of 100 in singles. The Bond County CEO Class had their trade show on May 1 at the Milk House in Greenville. There was a great turn-out, members of the community flocked to the event to see what the CEO’s had been working on all year. These students have met before school to take tours of local businesses and learn the ins and outs of the industry. They have taken the first step towards a career in working for themselves and being able to share their vision with others. The class of 2024 included 15 students and 15 different businesses. Aces Softball Wins Fourth Straight E-I Tourney Championship

Saturday was a big day for the Mulberry Grove girls softball team as they won their fourth straight Egyptian-Illini Conference Tournament and third consecutive E-I regular season championship on the same day. Their win over Brownstown-St. Elmo counted as the regular season game giving MG a 4-0 regular season conference mark. On April 23, the Aces were up 17-3 in the top of the fourth with one out when the game was rained out. The game was started over on May 3 with MG winning 12-0 in three innings at the E-I Tourney. Lady Comets Soccer Races Past 20-Win Mark

On the pitch, the regular season has closed. And what a way to end it. The Greenville Lady Comets soccer team completed the best season in school history with a 21-3 record after a 9-0 victory over Salem at Tom Doll Field on May 1. Katie Campbell scored four goals and added to her school record for career assists with two more in the contest. Emma Veith and Ady Bearly both added a brace with Megan Ridens adding the other goal. The Simple Room receives new AED

Gail Holthaus, seated, presented an AED or Automatic External Defibrillator to the Simple Room on behalf of the Greg Holthaus Memorial Fund. Gail remarked that she hoped it would be something that they would never have to use, however if the situation were to present its self, they would be prepared.
