Tomorrow the ALA fiscal year rolls over; LITA (along with LLAMA and ALCTS) dissolves; and we wake up as Core members. It was an extraordinary privilege to serve you several years ago as President, and one of the hardest (though most rewarding) things of my life to be part of the team that initiated this transformation. Much has been happening behind-the-scenes to prepare for Core’s upcoming launch on September 1st, so we want to update you on the progress we’ve made. At the 2020 ALA Virtual Conference Council meetings, the ALA Council approved the creation of Core, so we’re official!
