I was asked by InRegister magazine to create cover art for the January 2024 issue which focuses on Women with a Cause. The image created needed to embody "feminine strength". The women highlighted in this issue are all women who have been nominated for their philanthropic work within our community that is entirely voluntary. And they are amazing.   Suffolk Plein Air Festival September 5-10, 2023     First, if you ever get the chance to attend juried plein air events, to walk around to meet artists, and to watch them work, go do it. I love being a part of these things whether as an artist, a collector, or just a nosy person who wants to see how they do that painting thing. When you buy a painting, do you know who that artist is on that particular piece? Does knowing who the artist is matter to you? What if you bought or just flat out fell in love with a painting and you never knew or will ever know who created it?    Back in 2017 I attended the Portrait Conference in Atlanta which is a big deal that takes place once a year and not always in Atlanta.
