June marks the 50th anniversary of the Fourth Doctor’s first appearance. Doctor Who Magazine is celebrating with an 84-page Special Edition, packed with all-new features, interviews, infographics and fiction. “Tom Baker made such an extraordinary impact that, to some people, he will always be the Doctor,” says editor Marcus Hearn. “In our latest Special Edition we’ve interviewed many of the actors who appeared alongside him, including Hilary Ryan, who’s never spoken about Doctor Who before. When we were introduced to Morbius in 1976’s The Brain of Morbius, it was clear that there was a bigger story to tell. Naturally, Big Finish were up for this challenge and, in 2008, they pitted the evil Time Lord against the Eighth Doctor and his companion Lucie Miller. And now he’s back.
Written by Tim Foley and starring Samuel West as Morbius this is a series of moody, murky chapters exploring the voyage home after the defeat of Morbius.
In Part One, the last Time Lord battleship, the Proteus, leaves the planet Karn, returning to Gallifrey victorious. But her voyage home will not be easy ..read more

Lauren says, “I love writing for Liv and Helen. Their dynamic with each other and with the Doctor ..read more

The year is 1860, and a lonely house stands on a craggy rock in Ayreshire, Scotland. Inside, two men brace themselves against rushing winds, wailing voices and loud, crashing noises. Goats with fire-red eyes bleat relentlessly, and a procession of weird figures appear, apparently from all ages of man.
The Doctor and Martha (as played on TV by David Tennant and Freema Agyeman) find themselves in the middle of this cacophonous scenario, and it’s not long before they too are trying hold back the monstrous demons within…
