I’m excited to share that we are expecting our third baby in late September/early October! The kids are excited & my son asks almost every day when it’s Tuesday again so we can see what animal the baby is now the size of. (As of writing this, it’s a loris, in case you’re wondering.) Over the last several months, my photography workload has slowed down, & at first I was upset. With my previous two pregnancies, I was able to work well into my 3rd trimester without too much discomfort. However, the further I get into this pregnancy, the more I am finding that this lull is a blessing in di ..read more

“At the rehearsal, I was asked ‘Who gives this woman’ & I realized something. Not only am I giving something today, but I’m also receiving something. Alex, welcome to the family.” Amanda & Alex’s wedding weekend was the perfect amount of laughter & tears of joy. These two couldn’t stop smiling at each other & giggling, & their friends never stopped cheering them on. The brightly colored florals by Native Bloom contrasted against the gray skies that never let down its rain. Barr Mansion jumped to the top of list my of favorite places for many reasons, but pizza served later ..read more

I don’t usually shoot holiday weddings, but I had to make an exception for Mamiko & Harmon. Their New Year’s wedding was at the stunning Hotel Emma in San Antonio & since Harmon had been a groomsman in a previous client’s wedding, I couldn’t say no. With dried florals decorating the courtyard, lavender accents everywhere, a coffee cart, & (my personal favorite) a brass quintet made up of a few members of the San Antonio Philharmonic, Mamiko & Harmon’s wedding was stunning & the best way to ring in the new year. Mamiko & Harmon, I’m so happy you guys finally got to celeb ..read more

These two tied the knot this past weekend in the most beautiful wedding ever. So while you patiently wait for me to go through the photos from that day, here are Amanda & Alex’s engagement photos we took earlier this fall. They wanted the Austin skyline & nature, so we went to two locations & enjoyed a few snuggles with their pup. You don’t want to miss how their dog made an appearance at their wedding ..read more

There just really isn’t a prettier venue for an outdoor winter wedding (or an indoor winter wedding for that matter) than Woodbine Mansion. (It’s also beautiful in the summer with your motorcycle parked in front of it.) Woodbine offers so many little spots for photos that every photo is guaranteed to turn out perfect. The icy light blues & greenery everywhere made it a magical winter wonderland. This was my first time experiencing Woodbine’s clear tent set up on the lawn, & it kept us toasty well into the night. With handmade items by the bride like the engraved mulled wine glasses &am ..read more

Under the trees of their favorite vineyard outside Fredericksburg, Lauren & Matt began their next chapter of their lives together. This was the perfect Texas fall wedding with the beautiful shades of blues & rustic oranges throughout their wedding day. From Lauren’s blue sapphire ring to the blue suits of the grown flower boys men, it was a day full love joy. Also let’s not pass over the fact that they served their guests pizza. Best wedding ever. Lauren & Matt, you guys were made for each other & your future together is so bright. Thank you for letting me be a part of your wed ..read more

From the moment Lauren first walked into the downtown Austin Central Library, she fell in love with the staircase & she knew that one day she would take her bridal photos on them. So, we set out to make her dreams come true! Shooting in a place like this presents some fun challenges like not being able to yell my instructions across the entire building. Thank goodness for cell phones! Shout out to Lauren’s dad who became a professional train fluffer & straightener by the end of the shoot. New father of the bride level unlocked. Lauren & Matt’s wedding photos coming soon ..read more

Ahh These photos. My family has grown exponentially in the last 6 months & I was honored to photograph my sister-in-law’s bridal photos. The most stunning & truly joyful brides ever. But first let’s stop & lift our jaws up off the floor after looking at her bouquet. While we had plans to take Riley’s portraits at a specific park, we found out upon arrival that it was closed. So, after about a half hour of frantic driving around, we found the perfect patch of green with large trees & the sun juuust right where we were able to take glorious sunlit photos before heading to The Lum ..read more

If you missed my previous post, I met up with Helena & Kris the day before their wedding to do their engagement photos. While this meant they couldn’t get professional prints in time to display at the wedding, it did mean that we could still spend some time getting to know each other before the wedding day. This ensured that portraits would go so much smoother & as it was SUPER fresh on their minds with how I worked & directed. While we had all sorts of weather during their engagement shoot, we had the perfect amount of cloud coverage & the perfect temperature & the perfect ..read more

This was one of those days where we had every single type of weather in one day. Really in one hour. Rain. Shine. Fog. We didn’t have snow, which was good because it was still October. Helena & Kris weren’t scared of any of it, & we had a blast. Since the two live out of state, I didn’t get to meet them until this day, which was literally the day before their wedding. What better way to start your wedding weekend than with a sunrise engagement photo shoot at your venue?? Their friends & family were rolling in as I was leaving, & I couldn’t wait to get back for the next day ..read more
