Effective January 1, 2024, the State of California implemented an intrastate electronic logging device requirement for commercial vehicles to better align itself with the Federal Motor Carrier electronic logging device (ELD) requirement. A toddler was recently taken in Illinois when two criminals beat his pregnant mother and ran over her as they drove off with her vehicle.
