I think for the majority of families, one of the major concerns when travelling somewhere ‘different’ is thinking what you will feed the kids. We have one kid who loves pretty much all the food (except avocado), and gets real pleasure from trying new, exotic flavours. And then we have Beau, who is a big fan of chips, and crisps, and generally brown things (although broccoli is always a hit). She is also one of those kids that isn’t hungry until she is starving, just to add a little challenge to our food tour of Morocco, we threw in Ramadan! We have both travelled to Morocco before, pre kids and had quite different experiences. Whilst Jak loved everything about Morocco, especially Essaouira, I had quite mixed feelings about Visiting Essaouira with kids. After hearing lots of positive reviews and feedback from families about Morocco, plus needing to leave the Schengen zone for 90 days, we decided to head to Morocco and give it another chance, as a family. From busy medinas, the High Atlas Mountains to sand dunes and beaches, Morocco has it all. Top tips for a family trip to Essaouira Essaouira is also known as the windy city. Just ..read more

Although Morocco’s capital is often overlooked in favour of its more famous neighbour Casablanca or it’s more boisterous cousin Marrakech, Rabat has charmed us. Admittedly, we chose Rabat because it was the cheapest flight from Spain but we reckon we can convince you to visit Rabat with kids as it makes for a fantastic stop on any Moroccan itinerary. This city surprised us! It has a very European feel to it and is surprisingly calm and quiet, a huge bonus when visiting the medina. Another bonus is the access to the beach! Why is Rabat worth visiting? Rabat, Morocco’s capital, offers a refreshi ..read more
