If Hubert Davis and the North Carolina Tar Heels want to add some more depth to their roster at the forward position, a new option just became available. On Monday, former Arkansas forward Trevon Brazile announced he was withdrawing from the 2024 NBA Draft. Instead of returning to the Razorbacks, he’s looking for a new home after John Calipari took the job and brought several players to the program. With Brazile withdrawing, Field of 68 host Jeff Goodman reported that he is ‘wide open’ looking for his next spot in college basketball. And that could benefit the Tar Heels in the coming weeks: T ..read more

After a weekend on the recruiting trail at AAU events, the UNC basketball program was busy handing out offers last week. The Tar Heels gave out multiple offers to 2025 prospects a week ago, including entering the race for a West Coast recruit. Nikolas Khamenia was one of the prospects that UNC offered, as the program showed interest in him. The four-star power forward out of Studio City, California has drawn interest from a few different programs now, earning 13 offers so far. But after his performance at the USA Basketball Camp for the U-18 tryout, the interest should continue to pour in. Kha ..read more

As North Carolina continues to piece together their 2025 recruiting class big board, two players that stand out are the sons of a former Duke legend. Carlos Boozer’s sons Cayden and Cameron Boozer are two of North Carolina’s biggest targets in the 2025 class. The Tar Heels have offered both prospects and despite their ties to rival Duke, UNC appears to be hanging around in these recruitments. For Cayden, the Tar Heels are one of five programs that are recruiting him the hardest he told Sam Lance of Zag’s Blog. Here is what he had to say about UNC in his recruitment: UNC: “They have a lot of g ..read more

Last weekend was a busy one for Hubert Davis and the North Carolina Tar Heels’ staff, watching several recruits on the AAU circuit at different stops. The result was a handful of offers to 2025 prospects and one to a 2026 prospect for the Tar Heels. And now, the Tar Heels are going back on the road again this weekend. Per Rivals’ reporter David Sisk, the Tar Heels are in Colorado Springs this weekend to watch the Team USA 18U Training Camp. The event will run all weekend in Colorado and features some UNC basketball recruiting targets who are taking part in the camp for USA Basketball. Hubert ..read more

The North Carolina Tar Heels are set to welcome a top-10 recruiting class for the 2024 cycle with three commitments. Five-star recruits Ian Jackson and Drake Powell headline the class with four-star center James Brown. With the success UNC is having on the court this year and the strength of the 2024 class, the future is bright. Now the Tar Heels’ staff shifts its focus to the 2025 class. UNC has 13 active offers out to prospects in the 2025 class after a very active period in which they handed out offers after the open recruiting session in May. They are also showing interest in other recrui ..read more

The 2025 recruiting cycle is heating up this Summer and for Hubert Davis, he’s still busy identifying the top targets on UNC basketball’s recruiting board. Among the top targets for the Tar Heels is five-star power forward Caleb Wilson. UNC has been involved in his recruitment for some time now, even getting a visit last season. While things have been a little quiet for Wilson lately, he recently talked to Sam Lance of Zag’s Blog to break down his recruitment. And he revealed that he would like to hear from the Kentucky Wildcats in his recruitment after the Wildcats recently watched him: “I t ..read more

It’s been a quiet process for the North Carolina Tar Heels in the transfer portal, landing just two players this year. With Hubert Davis and his program finding success last season, the pressure was on to find key contributors for the 2024-25 season. After landing Cade Tyson out of Belmont, UNC recently scored their second commitment as former Notre Dame and Vanderbilt forward Ven-Allen Lubin pledged his commitment this week. But how does that move impact the Tar Heels overall? Following the commitment, Gary Parrish of CBS Sports updated his top 25 and 1 rankings, where UNC solidified its No ..read more

The North Carolina Tar Heels are going to be set for the coming college basketball season. It’ll be weird not seeing Armando Bacot suiting up, plus I’m sure it’ll take some time adjusting to no Harrison Ingram. The duo provided a rare, solid 2-man post presence not seen since the Isaiah Hicks-Kennedy Meeks days. UNC is still searching for an experienced center in the transfer portal, but will be set even without one. Jalen Washington has been waiting two years behind Bacot for the starting center role, a spot which he deserves every bit of. Even with just two additions in the portal, Cade Tyso ..read more

Former North Carolina Tar Heels’ standout Harrison Ingram is still going through the 2024 NBA Draft process as we count down the days until June’s draft. Right now, all indications are that Ingram is staying in the draft unless there’s a severe injury. North Carolina is operating that way as well with moves in the transfer portal. But as we sit here near the end of May, where does Ingram’s stock stand? Looking at ESPN’s latest mock draft, Ingram appears to have fallen a little bit in the mock. He’s not projected to go at No. 46 overall to the Los Angeles Clippers, a late second-round pick ..read more

North Carolina found success with the transfer portal last season, not only landing a handful of players but landing two key starters in Harrison Ingram and Cormac Ryan. With some key departures this year, Hubert Davis and his staff need to fill some voids. So far, they have landed two commitments as Cade Tyson and most recently Ven-Allen Lubin have joined the Tar Heels. And while it’s a small class right now, it has a major impact player on it. In 247Sports’ rankings of the best transfers next season into the Atlantic Coast Conference, Tyson took the top spot on the list, beating out several ..read more
