OMG. I loooove this lamp that I found at charity shop. It is not signed but it is European origin because of its EU plug...looking at the cord and switch it looks vintage 50s, 60s. I did Google Image search and 2 options...one almost identical was sold in the past at Poshmark and titeled as Murano. Sadly didnt saw the price it was sold for. Other similar lamp picture came up and said it was Polish origin. If its Murano...Wow. I consider it Epic find anyway because its so beautiful how those blue and green swirls show from white glass when it is lit up. Photo does not do it justice ..read more

My Doirin Saurus ceramic collection

Here is my fabulous Doirin Saurus ceramic collection.  First time I saw her work I was immediately drawn to drawings, colors and whimsy. All works are wonderfully wonky as well. She is now in her 70s and resides in West Cork, Fethard. She earns additional living by doing pottery classes. The most usual her items you can find in Ireland art galleries are mugs...bowls and plates are rare.  I am now aiming to buy 4 more plates but it is not easy. I know they are out there because I was only able to afford buy 2 plates in the beginning and there were more left in that gallery ..read more

I spent last weekend in Co.Waterford and it turned out visiting more art galleries than charity shops. But I did pop in few and here is a haul. I did purchased some items from art glleries but I will share my art collection on separate posts. Green enamel pendant necklace. I like abstract jewelry. This one is large and in lovely muted green color having some patches of lighter green color and decorative rhinestones. It reminds me the waterlily leaf. White stones being water drops? Maybe. The chain necklace has good long length. Laquered hand painted wood or paper machet bangle ..read more

This is a compilation of items I picked last week from different charity shops.  One thing I always looking out and picking from charity shops is colored tights. Why pay about 8 EUR in department store when you get them from charity for 2EUR. For me they are perfect to make any outfit more interesting. Look at that color and pattern. Its fabulous. Wonderful oversized pottery mug or bowl. It is not signed and it is heavy to lift. I think it is someone's handmade project. That is what I like about it. I served a salad from it and it brought instant artsiness to the table ..read more

I think these are very nice finds from last weekend. On the back round there is another table cloth that I picked. It is by Carolyn Donnelly Eclectic range that she does for Dunnes Stores. I bought one with different design from Dunnes couple of years ago I think for ten times the price I paid for this one now.  There is not often that I see nice good quality table cloths on charity shop, so better to crab when I encounter some. I really like the quality and pattern. https://www.dunnesstores.com/c/home/our-brands/carolyn-donnelly-eclectic Two floral&botanical prints in very ..read more

Melanie Kempkes oil paintings

I discovered Melanie from EBay. She is German in nationality and does great oils with reasonable prices. She seem to be influenced a lot by Period Drama Movies or Books as she has a lot those themed romantic and sensual paintings along with nature paintings. But I find myself often drawn to her portraits. I am yet to find proper frames for the pictures but since they are smaller format I just decorate around with them by leaning them against anywhere...really.  Here is link to her shop: https://www.ebay.de/usr/watercolor_arts Support the artists by buying their work!  ..read more

Three original art finds in one weekend. Stars aligned.
Arts Addict

I still in disbelief that I found three original art pieces last weekend. You can go to charity shops for months and all there is in art section are prints. Rest of the items in photo I picked up in different charity shops in the middle of this week.   Look at these! Jaguar painting is done with oil pastels and Tiger is a linocut print.  A lot of effort has been put to both of these and they have been mounted same way and also signed on the back. Handwriting is same on both. Although signature on on both of the artworks is under the sticky tape that holds mount in place...tried ..read more
