MUSEUM OF ICE CREAM – CHICAGO
Sincerely Celine

This awesome museum is tucked away in the midst of downtown Chicago and is truly escapism at its finest!  We booked our tickets in advance, and it is cheaper to book a timed entrance ticket and to book it before the afternoon! It was really easy to find where the museum is because it is a huge pink doorway that is really bright and a large contrast to the stores and neighboring shops!  When we got there, they checked our tickets, which I added to my phone for ease of use. They guided us into the main waiting room and you guessed it – it was totally pink! Here they went over some firs ..read more

Hiking up Valentine Mountain – Powell River, BC
Sincerely Celine

In Vancouver – one must hike! I couldn’t stop admiring the stunning mountains that surrounded us in Vancouver, specifically Powell River, and needed to get up and moving! With that being said we didn’t have too much time and this hike was perfect! It took us about 30-40 minutes total. It is under one kilometer in distance!  It is a short and sweet hike – with stellar views, but do be prepared for a steep incline, the entire way up you are ascending including a 100 step climb up wooden and rocky steps. However it is undoubtedly some of the best views in the Powell River area!  The hi ..read more

Exploring Powell River, BC
Sincerely Celine

My short trip to Vancouver brought me all the way up the Sunshine Coast to Powell River! After traveling for over four hours and taking two ferries (full journey and my take on BC Ferries in my previous post!) We finally made it to Powell River – we arrived around 7:30PM and were in need of some dinner!  We explored the area and found some awesome places – there are great locally owned restaurants and shops closer to the coast, and if you’re in the mood for fast-food and quick eats, further in-land there are a bunch of options like subway, mcdonalds and more!  We opted for a local p ..read more

On a recent short trip to Vancouver – there were many food places I tried, because the foodie in me needed to explore, and needless to say everything was amazing!  To get to our point of destination, we had to travel a lot and our first stop was Horseshoe Bay. We had a bit of time before getting on our ferry here. There is a really lively and well-rounded area called ‘the village” where there are restaurants, shops, etc. We stopped here to explore a bit and decided to grab something to eat at Olive and Anchor and it was an awesome decision!  They have a beautiful restaurant that is c ..read more

My recent adventure to Vancouver brought me to the Sunshine Coast – specifically in and around Powell River! After landing in Abbotsford it was no easy trek to get to our destination, our first stop was to get to Horseshoe Bay – so we can hop on our first ferry to Langdale!  When we arrived at Horseshoe Bay, it was breathtaking, we visited the ticket booth and realized we had some time to kill! Something I was not aware of is that ferry tickets are not sold in advance for certain routes – for our route we needed to wait until the ferry we wanted to get on was the next one up, we arrived a ..read more

The Spring Market – London,Ontario

Over the weekend, I visit the very large Kellogg Factory in London which is a hotspot for fun, games, activities and so much more! Located on the 3rd floor of the factory, you will find the market, there is an $8 entry fee, and your hand will be stamped and this will allow you to enter at any time of the day!  There are so many photo-ops and interactive setups that you’re able to pose with and really get you into the spring mood! There are quite a bit of vendors as well, one of my favourite vendors – which is also a local favourite – is Tart Boss! They have the best butter tarts, they ..read more

There is an awesome food and drink festival happening right now in Toronto at the Metro Convention Centre! If you are a fan of new foods, innovative drinks and a fun environment you need to check this festival out! It is a 19+ event because there is open alcohol and drink sampling!  We got our tickets online a few days before and they were around $20 CAD, the navigation was well labeled and we found the entrance very easily, they checked our IDs and then scanned out tickets and guided us towards to escalator, we went up and was immediately greeted by the welcome sign and employees handing ..read more

Sincerely Celine

Over the holiday’s some serious relaxation was needed to end the year on a peaceful note, I gathered up some friends and family and we all headed to Go Place Spa in Markham. Go Place is a 24-hour spa and the only of its kind in the GTA, there are no reservations required unless you are booking a massage or service.  When we arrived we could tell it was going to be busy because the parking lot was full! We walked in and were right, it was definitely one of their busier days, we were put into an online queue and were able to leave and come back when it was our turn! We had a bit of a wa ..read more

THE THIRSTY ELF – HOLIDAY POP-UP BAR
Sincerely Celine

Toronto’s seasonal pop-up bar is back this year and is located inside the Fairmont Royal York hotel in Downtown Toronto! It is only here until December 17th and it is very popular, it is open Thursday to Sunday from 5-11pm. If you are planning to go, get there as early as possible, the bar area is very small, it’s walk-in only and can only fit a maximum of 26 people at a time and the line gets very long, very quickly. We waited a long while to get into the bar area, the nice thing is that it is inside the hotel, and is located on the second floor, so you are waiting inside and away from the do ..read more

If you are in Bolton and in the mood for a light dinner and some awesome drinks, check out Wine Spot, it is a hidden gem and has beautiful interior and exterior decor. There is poutine, fries with garlic or spicy aioli, warm olives and more! There are also some light tapas options if you want to eat a lighter fare for dinner, there ar ..read more
