iPhone users will soon be able to use passkeys, following the release of passkeys on Android last October. Essentially, this feature replaces SMS login codes. Those without cellular coverage can access their WhatsApp accounts on new phones through biometric authentication. Setting up a WhatsApp passkey on an iPhone is simple. Just enable the feature in settings, create a passkey using Touch ID or Face ID, and it will sync between your Apple devices. Meta’s Twitter/X rival, Threads is growing steadily. President Biden has signed a bill banning TikTok if its Chinese parent company, ByteDance, fails to sell it within a year. As a result of the House’s overwhelming majority over the weekend, the US Senate passed the bill, which includes aid for Ukraine and Israel, by a vote of 79-18 late Tuesday night.
