The independent Disciplinary Committee was chaired by Richard Cole (Wales), joined by former international referee Valeriu Toma (Romania) and former international player Stefan Terblanche (South Africa). Having accepted that the act of foul play justified the red card and by applying World Rugby’s sanctioning provisions, the Disciplinary Committee determined that the low-end entry point of six weeks was appropriate with the full 50% mitigation applied, based on exemplary record, good conduct and having shown immediate remorse, reducing the sanction to three weeks. The day represents a first opportunity to represent one of Scotland’s professional sides at youth level for the players involved. First, Edinburgh Gunners U16 play Glasgow Warriors Whites U16 at 1pm, then at 3pm Edinburgh Reivers U16 host Glasgow Warriors Blues U16. BBC ALBA will continue their support of rugby in Scotland as they broadcast Friday night games from the upcoming FOSROC Super Series Sprint, all kicking off at 7.35pm. All matches will also be available on BBC iPlayer. BBC ALBA will broadcast the opening match of the competition next Friday (19 April) between Southern Knights and Edinburgh A at the Greenyards.
