Among the many ethnicities represented in Gilmer County schools, white was the most prevalent among Gilmer County students in the 2022-23 school year, according to the Georgia Department of Education.
Of the 3,497 students attending Gilmer County schools, 64.7% were white. Hispanic students were the second most common ethnicity, making up 32.9% of Gilmer County student body.

There were 188 registered sex offenders living in Catoosa County as of the week ending April 13, according to the Georgia Sex Offenders Registry.
The Registry shows 10 of these sex offenders are sexual predators. In Georgia, a sexual predator is an individual who is determined by the Sexual Offender Registration Review Board to be at risk of perpetrating any future dangerous sexual offense.
The Registry also shows 54 of these sex offenders are currently incarcerated.
