AnotherPark Model Manufactured Home Bathroom Renovation

Believe it or not, we were hired to do ANOTHER park model bathroom! This time with almost the exact lay out as the previous one (see past blog post for the first park model bathroom reno!) and this client wanted another fun pop of blue! This park model was a little different. This one is plumbed just like a sticks and bricks house, so no tanks and this toilet was exactly the same as a toilet you'd put in a regular house (as opposed to the RV toilet that was put in our last park model renovation). This old shower drain was also plumbed above the subfloor, so we had to do some re-working of the ..read more

Park Model Manufactured Home Bathroom Renovation

After three years of solely RV Renovations, we finally were able to renovate our first Park Model home! These manufactured homes are basically an RV and Sticks and Bricks home hybrid! They are built on a trailer frame just like an RV (just slightly bigger) and are driven into the campground. Then they are parked and installed on blocks at their site. This particular model has no sewer hook ups in the mountain they live on, so the toilet, shower, and sink were plumbed just like an RV and drained into grey and black holding tanks. They have a service truck that comes twice weekly to dump their t ..read more

Dutchman Voltage RV Toyhauler Bunk Room Conversion

The multifunctional use of toyhauler garages may be my most favorite aspect of RV life! It can be an office, an extra living room, a garage for go carts and ATVS, an additional bedroom, or in this case- a double queen bunk bedroom for two teen boys! AFTER BEFORE After demo, sanding, and paint, I was able to start putting this room back together! (Paint Colors linked below) For the beds, we utilized the top bunk that was already there. For the bottom bunk, we removed the couches by unscrewing the lag screws that held them to the platform. Then I made a new platform to create that bottom bunk ..read more

It's no secret that the bathroom, while small, is always one of the biggest jobs. With plumbing, working in some storage, navigating a super small space, it really can be tricky to renovate a bathroom. This RV Bathroom turned out to be one of my favorite bathroom renovations to date!! AFTER BEFORE After painting the entire room white and adding the flooring, I was able to start building this bathroom back up. I started at the sink area. I painted the countertops with a faux marble countertop epoxy kit that is my new favorite product! NO weight change (yes, thats the same countertop!) but look ..read more

Heartland Wilderness RV Bunks

My clients for this RV have adult children and one grandchild who won't be coming camping with them often, but they still wanted a place for them to sleep if and when they did come. The goal for the bunks was to add a little storage, which was super hard given that there is no floor space around the bunks with the bathroom door and slide being directly to the left and right. AFTER BEFORE So I decided to get a little creative and make some storage on the top bunk! I did that by adding flooring to the floor of the top bunk, and then I used two Ikea Trones units to create super slim storage up h ..read more

Heartland Wilderness RV Dining Space

Creating this simple dining space was a goal for this RV Renovation. My clients for this RV have grown children who won't be camping with them, so they just wanted a small space to have breakfast or lunch on the road. Fun Fact- our personal RV doesn't even have a dining space! We eat outside every single meal, or we just cuddle up around the couch. This is what's so fun about a custom RV Renovation. Some people need a huge dining area to accommodate 6+ people, and others want to take their entire dinette out and just simplify the space. AFTER BEFORE I gutted out the entirety of this space; th ..read more

Heartland Wilderness RV Kitchen Renovation and Faux Stone Backsplash Tutorial

My client for this RV based the whole design of this rig around a burgundy kitchen, and I couldn't love it more! I love using color, and a camper renovation is a great place to add a fun pop of paint that you might normally not use in a sticks and bricks home. This kitchen underwent a total face lift and it turned out beautifully! AFTER BEFORE I know that some are you are saying, "WOW" and some are going... "That looks the same..?" While yes, the color contrast in this before and after is similar (dark cabinets, lighter walls) I did so much to make this kitchen function so much better while a ..read more

Heartland Wilderness RV Bedroom Renovation

I love an all white bedroom in an RV, such an update from the drab and dreary cave of a bedroom that was the before! We did so much in this space, but made it look so classic. A faux concrete headboard that adds depth, insane under-bed storage, and just a brighter, better bedroom! AFTER BEFORE Demo started with taking out the entire upper cabinet and of course, that awful mattress went in the garbage! Then all the cabinets were sanded and prepped for paint, and all surfaces were cleaned. I sand with 80 grit and 120 grit sandpaper, and I clean everything with a 50/50 vinegar/water mixture. I p ..read more

One of the best parts about a custom RV Renovation is that you can do something totally unique to YOUR lifestyle and needs. My clients for this rig have grown children, so they had no real use for the bunk beds in this RV. They did however have a need to host their adult children every once in a while, so turning this bunk room into an adult guest room was the way to go! Before we received this rig from my clients, they had already taken the top bunk out themselves, which left some damage on the walls that needed to be covered up. That was the start of the design for this space, and I am so ha ..read more
