Trevi is a town in Umbria. Located between Foligno and Spoleto, it sits on the slopes of Mount Serano 412 metres above sea level and overlooking the beautiful Spoleto Valley. Trevi has a rich and long history. Evidence of ancient civilisations and Umbrian tribes have been uncovered here which date back as early as 700 BC. That said, we have a much greater knowledge of its history once it was conquered by the Romans in 284 AC. During Roman control of Trevi, it was a key town situated on the Via Flaminia. The latter was an ancient Roman road. It led all the way from Rome across to Rimini on the ..read more

Capri is an island measuring just 4 square miles and standing 1932 feet tall at its highest point. It sits approximately 30 km off mainland Italy in the Gulf of Naples, nestled between the mainland and the islands of Procida and Ischia. It’s a popular day trip from Sorrento. How long should you stay in Capri Italy? Certainly, it’s easily possible to see the top sights in Capri in a day. However, you may want to extend your stay to do everything justice. Booking a longer trip will also mean you can enjoy the island at a slower pace. We also think that it’s worth staying on the island overnight ..read more

March is the month when we get to welcome the official first day of Spring. With that in mind, what better way to put the cold winter days behind you than to plan a holiday to Italy! We think March is a lovely month to holiday in Italy. For a start, it’s a chance to beat the rest of the tourists to Italy. After all, it’s not a time when most families with school-age children are able to travel. That is, unless school holidays come super early. As a result, expect to see fewer crowds to contend with. A word of caution. Another exception to this would be Easter week should Easter fall early. Dur ..read more
