Works at Prince Edward Road station have been progressing with more of the surface structures of the station becoming visible. Eventually, there will be approximately 3 ancillary buildings for ventilation & cooling towers, in addition to the station's 2 exits. In addition, there is also a mid-tunnel emergency exit along Keppel Road that has since taken shape. This exit would allow for evacuation from the stacked bored tunnels that run between Prince Edward Road and Cantonment stations in th ..read more

25 November 2023 - A view of the lift shaft for the exit next to the eastbound carriageway of
Keppel Road.
Ahead of major disruptive work for the Circle Line next year, we pay the Keppel station a visit to check in on progress made. Backfilling work is continuing with a significant difference noted over the station's roof slab. In our previous update in August, parts of the concrete roof slab could still be seen exposed to the elements. These have since been covered over with soil and demolition work is ongoing for the earth retaining & stabilising system (ERSS) - a system ..read more

Recently the SGMC team visited the Westin Hotel and took in a bit of a view of the downtown area. We had the opportunity to admire the views of Prince Edward Road. It seems that they have since completed the station roof slab and covered up most of the underground structures. Some surface-level elements are now becoming more apparent. But we'll let the pictures do the talking.
